Operational Phase of 3 Major Road Construction Projects Starts in Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ordered the start of the operational phase of three important road construction projects in Northern Iran on Sunday.



The three major projects include reformation of Haraz roads and building the second tunnel in the road and widening the Tehran-Haraz road.

Building the parts two and three of Tehran-North freeway in Chalous road and the project to optimize the Tehran-North road towards Chalous city are other projects that their operational phase has started.

On Sunday, President Ahmadinejad inaugurated the first phase of the biggest and longest road tunnel in Mazandaran province, Northern Iran.

Construction of the 3,290-meter tunnel has cost 930 billion rials.

Meanwhile, construction operation of the second phase of Emamzadeh Hashem tunnel in Mazandaran province started this morning by the president.
