Iranian Envoy Calls for Expansion of Tourism Ties with China

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Mehdi Safari called for the further expansion of ties between Iran and China, specially in the field of tourism.



"Iran is planning to develop tourism cooperation with China as the secondary priority after export of the Iranian goods to China," Safari said on Wednesday.

The Iranian ambassador to Beijing underlined the need for bolstering and reinvigorating ties between China and Iran.

"Placing Iran in the list of tourism attractions for Chinese tourists was a great achievement," Safari said.

"If necessary substructures for attraction of Chinese tourists is laid, the country will gain more income and more jobs will be created," he added.

He noted that Iran has the capacities for attracting more than 1mln tourists.
