Iran to Introduce Five More Foreign Languages to School Program

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Education Ministry officials announced that they plan to add five more foreign languages to school program in a bid to present high school students with more choices.

Secretary of the Supreme Board of Education of Iran Mehdi Navid said in addition to English, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian and French will be taught at schools in future.

Navid noted that the language courses will start from 6th grade, and up until the pupils will be entering universities.

"In those provinces of the country where a particular foreign language is more needed, it will be emphasized upon," Navid noted.
