"One of the projects which will be unveiled by the end of this (Iranian) year (March 20, 2014) is a tactical simulator," Pourdastan said, addressing a ceremony to unveil three military products of the Army Ground Force here in Tehran on Saturday.
The Iranian Army Ground Force unveiled Fadak wireless radio, Soheil missile launcher and T72 tank simulator today.
As regards T72 simulators, Pourdastan said that the product is now at the technical level but will be used for tactical purposes after 5 more simulators are manufactured later this year.
Pourdastan said the country's defense industries have the necessary capability to turn theoretical ideas into military products.
The Iranian Army has recently test-fired different types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes and tested a large number of its home-made weapons, tools and equipments, including submarines, military ships, artillery, choppers, aircraft, UAVs and air defense and electronic systems, during massive military drills.
Defense analysts and military observers say that Iran's wargames and its advancements in weapons production have proved as a deterrent factor, specially at a time of heightened threats by the US.
