Dear Human Biology Friends,
Service is an autosomal dominant trait in the HumBio genetic code. In this past year we have celebrated a freshly minted Rhodes Scholar, a Truman Scholar, and a Strauss Scholar. Each of these awards recognizes a strong public service component. Human Biology continues to attract the best and the brightest students and faculty. And, of course, this results in an outstanding alumni community. I hope you will enjoy reading about how your fellow alumni, students, and faculty are rolling up their sleeves to tackle world problems.

It is always a pleasure to hear from HumBio students, alumni, faculty, and friends. Please feel free to share any stories regarding achievements of our HumBio family, or even innovative ideas for HumBio. You can send these to Robyn Duby at rduby@stanford.edu. I am easy to reach too at pfisher@stanford.edu
With best wishes,
Paul Fisher
