Please join us for an exciting evening discussing the "Economics of Everest" with Melissa Arnot, a five-time Mt. Everest summitter and co-founder of The Juniper Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting local staff and laborers in the high mountains of Nepal in the event of a tragedy on Mount Everest and the world's highest peaks. Melissa will discuss the business of running an expedition to Mt. Everest and the challenges and tensions between supporting the adventures of global travelers and providing adequate aid for local Nepalis who are integral members of those expeditions.  This event is presented by the Stanford GSB Puget Sound chapter; registration has also been opened to the Stanford Club of Washington and the members of the Seattle Business School Alliance.  Guests are welcome.  Register early to ensure you will have a seat.  The event will be closed when capacity is reached. Doors will be open at 6:30 PM.
