News

We are happy to announce that H&S IT has partnered with other groups on campus to fund an academic subscription for the lynda.com service at Stanford.

What is lynda.com? It’s a leading online learning company that helps anyone acquire business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.

With our new academic subscription, all Stanford faculty, staff and students now have access to the lynda.com video library of engaging, top-quality courses taught by recognized industry experts.

Stanford users can now get help with subjects like business, design, digital media, web development, and many more. There are over 3,000 titles "chunked" into short topic-based videos that can be accessed at your convenience, 24x7.

Help us get the word out by encouraging faculty, staff, and students to go to:

lynda.stanford.edu (to find out a little more)

lynda.stanford.edu/login (to start using the service)

Those already using lynda.com will initially have the option of merging their existing account information into their Stanford account, while new users can simply create their Stanford account. Support is available from the lynda.com resources portion of the site on the site.

This is a fantastic example of what can be accomplished when the campus community comes together for a common purpose.
