Ciiru Prepares to Transform

Meet Ciiru Waweru, incoming Seed Transformation Program participant and founder of Funkidz, a Kenyan company that creates children’s furniture.

Ciiru Waweru is the founder and owner of Funkidz designs, a company that manufactures and distributes children’s furniture. Originally trained as an interior architect in Kenya and Scotland, she started the business after having difficulty sourcing furniture for children in Kenya.

Ciiru shares her thoughts as she prepares to begin the Stanford Seed Transformation Program. Stanford Seed is a Stanford Graduate School of Business initiative committed to enabling business leaders in developing economies to lead their regions to greater prosperity.
