Planned Giving

By making a planned gift to the Cantor Arts Center, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your support will have a significant impact for generations to come. These gifts help shape the work of the Cantor and further Stanford’s commitment to the arts.

Planned gifts can be given through your estate plan in the form of a bequest under your will or living trust. You can designate either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. You can also name Stanford University (for the Cantor) as the beneficiary of a retirement plan or an insurance policy.

Other forms of planned gifts -- charitable remainder unitrusts and charitable gift annuities -- allow you give cash or appreciated assets to Stanford and receive an income for life. These may also provide exceptional tax or retirement benefits during your lifetime.

Gifts of art may also be willed through your estate plan. Cantor’s curatorial staff can help you to determine whether your gift can become a part of the Cantor’s permanent collection.

Donors of estate gifts are included in the Center’s Museum Legacy Circle and the University’s Founding Grant Society both of which offer special benefits.
