Final 2019 tours; Visitor Center closures
No guided tours will be available from December 14 through January 6; the Visitor Center will be closed the weekend of December 14-15 and from December 21 through January 5 (annual university-wide Winter Closure).
With Winter Quarter final exams concluding on Friday, December 13, our student tour guides will be leaving Stanford for the remainder of the month. As a result, there will be no guided tours of campus from Saturday, December 14 through Monday, January 6. Our daily campus walking tours will resume on Tuesday, January 7 at 11:30am and 3:30pm. The Discover Stanford program will resume on Monday, January 13. The Visitor Center will be closed the weekend of December 14-15, open December 16-20, and then closed from December 21 - January 5, 2020 as part of Stanford University's annual Winter Closure. People wishing to visit campus may do so on their own, but nearly all campus buildings and facilities will be closed. See the websites for the Cantor Arts Center, Stanford Memorial Church, Hoover Tower, the Stanford Bookstore, campus eateries, and any other campus facility for information about their respective holiday schedules.
Spring Quarter Tours and Programs
Virtually all of our Spring Quarter tours and programs (through Sunday, June 14) have been uploaded to our website and are now available for online registration. (Saturday sessions of "Discover Stanford" for spring quarter have not yet been finalized.)
Please note that our primary campus visit program -- "Discover Stanford" (Undergraduate Admission Session and Campus Walking Tour) will not be offered on Wednesdays during Winter Quarter (with the exception of the "Mid-Winter Break" date of February 19, upon which a session will be offered). In addition to the 5 Saturday sessions of Discover Stanford scheduled for winter quarter, we anticipate adding a selection of 4-6 Saturday dates for spring quarter as well (dates TBA). The schedule for Summer tours and programs (June 15 - August 13) are currently scheduled to be posted on or before the end of the day on Friday, February 28.
