So much to choose from, so little time. Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries provides innovative products and services for the evolving needs of our campus community – and our environment. Our retail cafés offer their own distinct ambiance, and a range of delicious, nutritious, regional and international cuisines for pleasurable dining on a busy schedule. Always mindful of our community’s needs, our award-winning chefs provide vegan and vegetarian options with every menu. Along with offering greater flexibility with student meal plans, proceeds from R&DE Stanford retail cafés help offset increases in room and board, and support student programs.
Stanford Students: no sales tax*when you show your valid student ID.
CA Sales Tax Regulation 1603 (k) provides a sales tax exemption for meals served to currently registered Stanford University students by Stanford owned and operated food outlets. In order to obtain this exemption, students must present their student ID at time of service.
*Alcoholic and carbonated beverages and food products sold or served in a venue where an admission fee is charged upon entrance are subject to sales tax regardless of student status. Third party vendors require that all patrons, including students, pay sales tax.
