Tentative program 2021 SUNCAT Institute, August Mon 16th -Thur 19th , 8 – 11 am PDT
8.00 – 8.05 am: Welcome and introduction
8.05 – 8.50 am: Invited talk
8.50 – 9.20 am: Q&A, Questions from audience and SUNCAT host
9.20 – 9.30 am: Break
9.30 – 10.00 am: Panel discussion on a broader topic. Panel will consist of invited speaker and SUNCAT personnel.
10.00 - 10.10 am: Break
10.10 – 10.55 am: Poster session: students and postdocs presenting
10.55 – 11.00 am: Wrap up / closing remarks.
Each of the four days in August will consist of a 3 hour morning session from 8.00 am-11.00 am (California time) from an invited speaker, followed by an extended Q&A session, a panel discussion, and a poster session by attendees. The panel discussions will evolve around the four themes: "Career paths in catalysis", "Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in catalysis research", "Catalysis science in a post covid world", and "The health of catalysis research."
