The University of Maryland, Center for Persian Studies has asked us to bring the following event to the attention of MESA attendees. A UMD shuttle bus will provide roundtrip transportation from the Wardman Park Marriott to UMD. Pick-up will be at 5:30 p.m.; attendees will return to the hotel by 10:00 p.m. Contact the Center for Persian Studies for additional information at 301-405-1891.

Free one-day pass for students:

MESA invites local students to see what it's all about. On Monday, November 21 MESA will provide a complimentary one-day pass for students to attend sessions, the film festival, and the book exhibit. Students should report to MESA registration Monday morning to get their pass. The passes will not be given out until that time.
