Top 5: My Negative “personality” aspects

5- Planning the unplan-able

disappointment is the end product of such eccentric fashion of thinking.

4- Anxious when handling finance

Thank God I’m not a banker or else I’d suck .. bigtime.

3- The inability to deal with the stupid or the stubborn

My objectivity fails to descend to their intellectual level; therefore I can’t seem to communicate with 80% of the population.

2- Pissed off easily about the so called “Little things”

Not being punctuate, Not respecting the queue, Littering, Cutting off a conversation, Bumping cars while parking, Responding to “Salmu alaykum” with “Sabah el Nor” or vise verse, Ridiculous mobile ringtones, Cars blocking the street .. etc

1- Being victim of “Entertainment”

… and I have become comfortably numb!

The United States of "Sadness"

When everything is OK, this means that things are going wrong but you can't see it. We do bad things because we want to or have to, maybe that's why we made up satin .. to blame him for all the bad things in our lives.

A "well done" movie, The opening minutes of the movie puts you in this nostalgic state, Leland is a kid who couldn't stand any more sadness in his life so he commits a murder .. his prison teacher wants to know why .. it turned out he's not asking the right question.

Quick thoughts on the actors:
  • Ryan Gosling is the next "non commercial" Edward Norton
  • Kevin Spacey "owns" his very few scenes
  • I can't make up my mind if Don Cheadle is overated or underrated

Hypocrisy un”veil”ed

If we are banning the niqab in Egypt, How is that any different from Europe banning the hijab?

Top 5: Things women “Cannot” do

5. Dress in less than 10 minutes

4. Talk on the phone for less than 5 minutes

3. Admit doing something wrong (instead, a plethora of senseless excuses)

2. Mind their own business (Gossiping)

1. Parallel Parking

The Road Less Travelled

Like kings & queens from a dying age who thought they can change the world .. we paired.

With our own cleverly concealed scars .. we bonded.

Like an E minor followed by an A7, A baseline with a drum snare .. we rhymed perfectly.

Chopin may admire the power chords of Blackmore, Malmesteen must appreciate Yanni’s notes. Yet sadly both cannot jam together; it’s a different gig.

The road less travelled; the most appealing of roads; mysterious and fascinating; is also known for being a dead end; a pitfall from the nicest of dreams to the oblivion of reality.

Now I realize why men & women of imagination hesitate to choose that road. We all want to play it safe.

God bless your winged soul

Juno

A weird movie with a bizarre - yet childish- soundtrack, emotionless on many fronts yet strong on underlying messages... The script is well written with genuine stylized dialogue yet not worthy of an OSCAR! .. It’s a pro-life advocating film about a teenager knocked up by her best friend.

I really don’t know if I like this movie or not. One thing I appreciate is the clever attention to details and the wacky Juno.

Head Banging On The Banks Of Euphrates

It’s not another documentary on the adversities of war. It’s not “yet another rock related” movie. It’s about surviving, because if you can’t give people someone to love or something to hope for .. At least give them something to do. And they do it beautifully.

Good news is .. it turned out ok, if they care for what they wish .. they have just got it.

God bless you, Acrassicauda

The Most Influential Man in Music History

An icon of showbiz, a freak that everyone loved, a king on stage where his wicked ultra ego manifestations burst artistically; augmented by some of the most original and captivating dance moves you’ll ever see.

People may argue that the Beatles, Elvis Presley or even Frank Sinatra had better prominence.. But Michael was simply THE king “sorry Elvis”. He surpassed them all commercially, publicly, and even culturally.

My fond of Michael Jackson stopped after his 1996 - not so great- album “history”, simply I grew up and he grew weirder. But I’ll never forget his impact on me during my childhood & teenage years. I grew up in the 80’s & 90’s so the guy was around in many of my tapes & CD mixes. I won’t explain how he excelled or what is so grand about Michael, this is not what the post is all about, this post is simply a recognition of the man’s legendary status in the music business and a deserved respect to what he had accomplished in the realm of entertainment.

Thanks MJ, for all the good memories.
