MISSION NEWS FLASH The Hubble Space Telescope's new images, highlighting the telescope's new and improved abilities following Servicing Mission 4, are now available. The Early Release Observations (EROs) signal Hubble's return to science observations after a lengthy period of testing, aligning and calibrating the telescope. Learn about the process of preparing Hubble for science observations.

The release of the EROs brings a conclusion to the events of Servicing Mission 4, the final space shuttle visit to Hubble. In May, astronauts upgraded and repaired Hubble over the course of five spacewalks.
