As part of their recently announced site overhaul, Digg released new buttons and widgets for use on publishers' sites.

The new buttons offer a ton of new features. Key new additions: buttons don't take the user away from the publishers' site, they offer dynamic live updates, and they're more customizable.

The new widgets are much nicer too, offering a wider range of customization options and, most awesomely, a direct link to the content, bypassing the Digg permalink page.

I think this will make Digging articles and exploring Dugg articles on a publisher site much easier. With the new ability to keep users on your own site instead of routing them through Digg first, I think a lot of publishers are going to find these new options much more friendly.
