Nothing cures the blues like some properly focused aggression. It's called hitting a pillow. (Or playing the drums on Rock Band.) It's not called terrorizing a politician.
Yesterday, the brother of U.S. Representative Tom Perriello had his house vandalized and his gas line cut after a website posted what they thought was the congressman's address and suggested to visitors that they pay him a little visit. TPMMuckraker has a solid rundown of other cases of vandalism against supporters of the health care bill.
Last night someone shot a gun at the office of House Minority Whip Eric Cantor. Then there was Jean Schmidt, who received a threatening phone message last week. And there don't seem to be any signs that this is going to cease unless these cretins are caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
You know, it might not be a terrible idea to stop this nonsense. Violence not only undermines your valid argument, but also those of like mind. Plus, your pillow is feeling neglected. Go on. Beat it up right now. We'll stay here.
