    Eric Bradner is a politics reporter for CNN, based in Washington and focused on the 2018 midterm elections and the 2020 Democratic presidential contest. He also covers the Republican and Democratic parties, their national committees and their donors. 

    Bradner joined CNN in 2014 and covered the 2016 presidential race -- writing breaking news and analysis, and providing analysis on television. 

    Prior to CNN, he spent a year covering international trade at Politico. Bradner also spent more than four years as the Indiana Statehouse bureau chief for the Evansville Courier & Press, where he covered governors Mitch Daniels and Mike Pence as well as House and Senate races. 

    Bradner grew up in Greenville, Indiana, and now lives in Washington. He's a die-hard Louisville basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball fan and loves photography, NBA games and jam bands.
