National Democrats have touted Doug Pike as a top candidate to challenge GOP incumbent Jim Gerlach for Pennsylvania's 6th district seat but the campaign of Navy veteran and physician Manan Trivedi has been picking up steam and surprising many.
The end of the quarter is just two weeks away, and the raging health care debate and looming vote could have a visible impact on some vulnerable House Democrats' first fundraising reports of 2010.
Here's a bulletin for you: Any time a campaign releases a polling memo, it is making an argument, not merely offering survey data for your information. This shouldn't need to be said, but when I see reporters swallowing spin as if it were information I get very uncomfortable.
