  • Health care companies pull stock market higher
  • After more than a year of planning, debate, delay -- and frequent internal party disarray among Democrats in Washington -- the House has approved a sweeping overhaul of the health insurance industry. The final vote was 219-212.

    Though many Americans are weary of the debate as Congress prepares to vote on one of President Obama's highest legislative priorities, experts note that this is only one battle in a very long war. And if it passes, things may get only hotter and more contentious.

    As Congress neared a vote on the controversial health insurance reform bill on Sunday, a self-described conservative blogger used his public Twitter account to call for the assassination of President Obama. He then quickly apologized on Twitter and via email. Still, the Secret Service confirms that it's investigating.

    Toyota faces several pending class actions that allege it publicly dismissed the seriousness of several design flaws while knowing that the problems might have caused a dramatic sell-off of Toyota shares. These suits only add to an already-groaning load of car-owner legal claims.

    The bears aren't giving the recovery any respect, leading Schwab's Liz Ann Sonders to call it the "Rodney Dangerfield" recovery. She rebuts that position pretty well, but she also points out that the end of the Fed's easy money policy could be nearer than most think.
