Fill out forms automatically

You can save time by letting Chrome Autofill fill in online forms for you. If you enter new info in a form, Chrome will ask to save it. To accept, choose Save.

Fill out a form

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In an online form, click on a text field.
  3. From the list, choose the info you want to use.

Add, edit, or delete your address

When you save your address from a form, your name, organization, phone number, or email address may also be saved.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Passwords and forms," click Autofill settings.
  5. Add, edit, or delete an address:
    • Add: Next to "Addresses," click Add.
    • Edit: To the right of the address, click More More and then Edit.
    • Delete: To the right of the address, click More More and then Remove.

Save contact info to your computer

By default, your info is saved to your Google Account. Learn more about getting all settings on all your devices.

To only save your info to your computer, and not to your Google Account, turn off Autofill sync:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the top, under "People," click Sync.
  4. Turn off Sync everything.
  5. Turn off Autofill.

Delete contact info from Autofill

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In an online form, click on a text field.
  3. Use your keyboard's arrow keys to highlight the info you want to delete.
  4. Delete it:
    • Windows: Press Shift + Delete.
    • Mac: Press Shift + fn + Delete.
    • Chromebook: Press Shift + Alt + Backspace.

Delete all your saved info

  1. Clear your browsing data.
  2. Under "Advanced," choose Autofill form data.

Stop saving info to Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Passwords and forms," click Autofill settings.
  5. Turn off Autofill forms.
