"Osama Bin Laden is a good Muslim"

Mohamed Ibn Guadi is one of the most insightful and honest observers of Islam and jihad on the scene today. He doesn't hesitate here to tell the truth about how mainstream the "tiny minority of extremists" really is. In this interview he echoes points I have made about Islam and jihad in Islam Unveiled, Onward Muslim Soldiers, and many times at this site. "The Evolution of Islam : Interview with Mohamed Ibn Guadi," from the Global Politician, with thanks to Nicolei and RB:

Mohamed Ibn Guadi is an Islamologist at Strasbourg University and a researcher in Semitic Philology. He is a contributor to Figaro, Le Point and other journals. He is the Director of the Islamology Program at the French Center of Middle East Studies (AFEMO) in Toulouse. He is currently preparing a book on Islam and the West.

RM: Is Islam growing more radical or moderate overall? Where is it the most worrisome?

MIG: That's a good question, Ryan. Today, most people think that radical Islam is growing to the detriment of the "real" Islam. Is Islam a religion of peace? No. Is it a religion of war? Neither. As a matter a fact, this is a puzzle. Osama Bin Laden is a good Muslim. I mean, what they say about the West is consistent with Islamic history. It's true that moderate Muslims represent Islam but we have to keep in mind that Osama, Mullah Omar and others represent Islam as well.

RM: But do you think that the religion of Islam as a whole is growing more radical, or more peaceful ?

MIG: Islam is growing more original which means that Islam is returning to its foundations. Islam is in a decisive time that it will determine its future. The growing of democracy in the Arab world could change the Arab minds but not Islam.

RM: How did radical Islam originate? Is it true the Soviet Union played a key role in creating radical Islam in the first place?

MIG: Radical Islam is not an ex nihilo creation. The so-called "radical Muslims" draw their sources in 14 centuries of Islamic history as well as hadiths and Muhammad the Prophet's life that must be an example for Muslims. The Jihad is theologically correct. Nevertheless, we have to keep in mind that the ones who are very critical of their Arab country are also Muslims. Ibn Khaldoun, maybe the greatest historian in Arab history, was very critical towards Muslims.

Arabs have always sought allies according to the circumstances. During the 40's it was the Nazis, during the Cold War it was the Soviet Union. They (Arabs) adopted some ideologies from their allies. But neither Nazism nor the Soviet Union played a key role in the expansion of radical Islam.

RM: What do you believe is causing the radicalization of the Islamic world?

MIG: The feeling that all the problems comes from the West. But, this is not the only cause. The only thing that saved the Arabs in the 20th century is secular nationalism. After the Six Days War, the Arabs saw this nationalism trifling. The one source the Arabs met in their history was the Islamic State. This is the only one political organization they have experienced. Secular nationalism came from Europe by Arab intellectuals who wanted to gather Arab Christians and Muslims under the Arab nation....

You Canadians out there - did you know Marc Lepine, the mass murderer, was a Muslim?

The Toronto Star
NEWS, Sunday, December 5, 1999
Remembering the massacre points the way to progress
TOMORROW, PAUSE and force yourself to think about 5-year-old Gamil Gharbi, clinging frantically to his father's pant leg as blow after blow rained down on him till he bled from his nose and ears. His mother, a former nun and then a nurse, was forbidden to console him. She, too, was constantly cursed, insulted, humiliated, smashed up against walls and beaten. Gamil, with his little sister, was locked in his room for hours at a time so his father, a high-flying Algerian mutual fund salesman who believed all women were chattels, could have a leisurely brunch.
Gamil grew up brimming with rage and primed to hate the only creatures lowlier than himself - women. In his teens, he changed his name to Marc Lepine. If his father metaphorically loaded the weapon, our violence-saturated society showed him where to point it: at the "feminists" so vilified in macho culture for encroaching on male entitlements.
Because of Lepine and the promising young lives he snatched away, we may be the only country in the world with an official Day of Remembrance for women. Instead of poppies, our lapels sprout the now-familiar button with the red rose to commemorate the 14 women engineering students who were gunned down, in blood, shock and horror, on that ordinary afternoon at l'Universite de Montreal 10 years ago.
We need the candlelit vigils and concerts for Dec. 6 just as we need the solemn bells and silences of Nov. 11. We need the cleared space, the stopping of time's relentless clock, the ceremony and the heightened words that will unlock our feelings and make us remember.
It takes an effort of will to bring to mind the blows and the ugliness that lie just beneath the surface of so many lives around us. We must make the effort, because even as you read this, other hands are raised against other children who will grow up to take vengeance on those who never harmed them. The National Day of Remembrance is for all women killed by male violence - not in battle, not because they were criminals, but simply because they were female.
As usual, when we gather tomorrow, only the willing of heart will be present. Willing or unwilling, however, no Canadian had an option 10 years ago when the blurred, urgent, news crackled into our consciousness. We had to hear; we had to feel the sting of hatred's poison.
I didn't hear about the massacre until the next morning. I was cocooned in the welcome warmth of bed, waking slowly after a happy public event the night before - the Toronto debut of a feminist documentary - that had played to a huge, exuberant crowd. The glow of pleasure still wrapped me as my eyes opened to my husband bursting out of the bathroom, his razor still in his hand, relaying in shocked tones what he had just heard on the radio: "Somebody killed a lot of women . . ." he exclaimed. "Montreal . . . it's a slaughter. . ."
Within moments, it was clear that the young women had been cold-bloodedly separated out and executed solely because of their gender. The pain of that news was physical, like an arrow of ice stabbing my heart. Only equality - full, rich, deeply entrenched equality of respect, dignity and human worth, for all people of all colours, reflected in laws, popular culture and social mores - can ever heal that wound.
Our posters and banners for Dec. 6 all read: "First mourn. Then work for change." In these 10 years, thousands upon thousands of Canadians, women and men, have done both. The mourning was and is painfully real. For women who were activists, working at low pay or as volunteers in the front lines (a telling phrase) of the war against women, staffing the clinics, the rape crisis centres, the women's counselling centres, the incest recovery groups, the battered women's shelters, that bleak day was the final unbearable crisis. All the stifled rage and despair at the useless violence welled up and spilled over in tears, angry speeches, boiling words.
For myself, I regret now that The Star asked me, only hours after I heard the news, to write a front page reaction piece. Along with many others, I felt that at this raw moment, of all moments, I could say, without being misunderstood, how enraged and defiant we felt about the constant stream of blows and wounds inflicted on women simply because of their femaleness.
I was wrong.
Based on the angry reaction to our words, it apparently was still taboo to speak about male violence against women. As a learned man once explained to me, such blunt speech violates "men's right not to know" what their buddies are doing and what their male culture permits and even fosters.
Instantly, our hot tears and painful grief were dismissed as "political." The story, in countless broadcasts and news columns, became not the dead women but the outrage of "innocent" men, in a fury at being linked by their maleness to Marc Lepine. It was all about them - were their feelings hurt, were they being discriminated against because a few all-female vigils were planned. I regret that many of us spoke up so honestly only because it gave the backlash an opening for attack that served as a distraction from the real issue. (Sometimes it seems that anything will distract the public from the dead bodies of murdered women - 40 women a year in Ontario killed by male rage.)
Now, 10 years later, I'd rather draw people's attention to lessons we might learn from the life of Gamil Gharbi. His brutal, control-freak father - one of the real root causes of the Montreal Massacre - sued for custody, although he never bothered to visit or pay for his children after the divorce. Today, there are angry and violent men, some of them slick and plausible, who insist that they are entitled to custody of their children, and there are parliamentarians dedicated to promoting their cause.
Most men, thank heaven, took a different path. Patrick Quinn, chair of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, swore on the spot to make a difference, and he tells me that today not only have the number of women engineering students doubled, but attitudes have changed: "The young men are used to equality in their relationships now, and many, including older men, were awakened to different values by Montreal."
Gun control, new schools of women's studies, Statistics Canada data on the levels of violence against women, anti-violence education in schools, ever-diminishing tolerance for the stupidity of sexism, progress in legislation to afford women equal protection of the law - the advances are heartening. CBC Newsworld will devote the entire day tomorrow to remembrance and reflection, an unprecedented media breakthrough.
It may be many years, however, before we can shrink the pitiful roll-call of the murdered women and children on those annual lists of the dead. Tomorrow, on the national Day of Remembrance, let each of us think of those who died, and what we can do to stop the killing.
Just to start, if you see a woman selling red rose buttons, buy one. If your workplace doesn't have a remembrance service planned, stage an impromptu one. In the moment of silence, try on the word "feminist" and see how a passion for equality feels.
Michele Landsberg's column usually appears in The Star Saturday and Sunday.

RM: How likely is it that there will be anti-terror and pro-freedom leaders in Palestine to challenge Arafat, Hamas and the rest? Is the plan for a Palestinian state likely to succeed anytime soon?

MIG: Like in the Arab world, there are some leaders in the Autonomous Territories to challenge Arafat and even the Hamas. These leaders are not especially pro-Israeli but they could be more conciliatory. Arafat is not eternal. When he dies, there will be an opportunity to re-educate the people.

The plan for a Palestinian state is very difficult. No Arab will accept a patch of land such that Autonomous Territories. Some Muslims want all the land. I don't think we're on the way for a Palestinian State. If Palestinians want a real state, it already exists: This is Jordan. It is the only viable state for the Palestinians. But, at the same time, Arab Palestinians cannot give up the Temple Mount which is called the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It doesn't means that Autonomous Territories couldn't be a real state. But it will be not enough for the Muslims.

RM: You wrote in the last answer that Jordan is only the only viable Palestinian state. Why do you believe this?

MIG: Because 75% of its people are Palestinians or originate from the British mandate of Palestine. The Jordanian nationality doesn't exists.

RM: You also said a state in the Autonomous Territories wouldn't be enough for the Muslims. Why is that?

MIG: Because Arabs from the beginning have wanted all the land. They don't consider the Jews to have a historical background in this place. The Temple Mount situation is a strong example.

THE GUY IS ON THE MARK IT MUST HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BEFORE THE YELLOW MONSTER DIED??

BUT THE TRUTH IS NEVER OLD NEWS!!!!

Part of the American Tribe
Squirrel Hunter
Spider Killer
God Bless the USA and her Fighting Forces and ALL who Fight with her give them Strength, Wisdom, Sight, and Courage to stay the course to Victory[FREEDOM] to Destroy ALL islamic Terrorist and ALL who Support them Open the Worlds Eyes to their Threat and let not the World be Deceived by them Amen

PS
wish he had gotten into some of their book??

Qur’an 4:94 “Believers, when you go abroad to fight wars in Allah’s Cause, investigate carefully, and say not to anyone who greets you: ‘You are not a believer!’ Coveting the chance profits of this life (so that you may despoil him). With Allah are plenteous spoils and booty.”

YEA THEY DO TALK ABOUT COMMING INTO OUR LANDS AND FIGHTING US??

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah is not bound by any contract or treaty with non-Muslims, nor is His Apostle.”

THIS ONE MAKES IT HARD TO TRUST THEM???

Ishaq:515 “When the people of Fadak heard what had happened, they sent word to the Messenger, asking him to banish them and spare their lives, saying they too would leave him their property. When the people of Khaybar surrendered on these conditions, the survivors asked Muhammad to employ them on their farms for a half share of whatever they produced. They said, ‘We know more about farming .’ So Muhammad made peace with them for a half share, provided that: ‘If we want to expel you, we may.’ He made a similar arrangement with Fadak. So Khaybar became the prey of the Muslims, while Fadak belonged exclusively to the Messenger of Allah, becoming his personal property, because the Muslims had not attacked its people with cavalry.”

NOW SOME WOULD CALL THIS SLAVORY?? TAKE MY LAND THEN MAKE ME WORK AND GIVE ALL THE PROFET TO YOU THIS IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY??

THEM ARE FIGHTING WORDS!!

Qur’an 9:3 “And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the Pilgrimage is that Allah and His Messenger dissolve treaty obligations with the Pagans.”

WATCH OUT YOU IN FRENCH WHO THEY THINK ARE PAGANS??

Qur’an 49:9 “If two parties among the Believers fall into fighting, make peace: but if one becomes aggressive, then fight against the one that transgresses until it complies.”

SO IT IS A LIE THAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FIGHT EACH OTHER??

Tabari VIII:142 “The Messenger made peace with them on condition that the Zoroastrians should be required to pay the jizyah tax that one should not marry their women.”

SO THIS IS THE DIMMI TAX WE LET YOU LIVE YOU ARE OUR SLAVES??

Qur’an 9:12 “If they violate their oaths and break treaties, taunting you for your Religion, then fight these specimens of faithlessness.”

BETTER NOT SPEAK OUT OR WHAT HAPPENED TO VAN GOGH??

NO THIS IS NOT ABOUT PEACE BUT WAR??

Qur’an 4:91 “You will find others who, while wishing to live in peace and being safe from you to gain the confidence of their people; thrown back to mischief headlong;[LIE] therefore if they do not withdraw from you, and offer you peace besides restraining their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and against these We have given you a clear sanction and authority.” [So if you wish to live in peace, but are perceived as being mischievous (i.e., non-Muslim), Allah has given his Jihad warriors “a clear sanction and authority to seize and kill” you.]

THIS ONE DON'T LOOK TO GOOD EITHER??

WHO YOU GONA TRUST??
SOMEONE WHO THINKS LIEING IS BAD OR THOSE WHOS god SAYS IT IS OKAY AND A MUST TO LIE???

Qur’an 33:60 “Truly, if the Hypocrites stir up sedition, if the agitators in the City do not desist, We shall urge you to go against them and set you over them. Then they will not be able to stay as your neighbors for any length of time. They shall have a curse on them. Whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain without mercy—a fierce slaughter—murdered, a horrible murdering.”

THIS IS WHY OUR BORDERS NEED TO BE CONTROLED WHO HAVE THEY PAID OFF?? WE KNOW MS13 IS WORKING WITH THEM??

Tabari VII:85 “Muhammad killed many Quraysh polytheists at Badr.”

WHO ARE THEY YOU ASK BUT PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN MORE THAN ONE GOD AND THIS IS ALSO A NAME FOR CHRISTIANS??

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations.”

NOT GOOD FOR THE FRENCH??

Qur’an 8:59 “The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”

NOT TO NICE THANK YOU FORFATHERS FOR THE 2ND ADD!!!

Qur’an 4:168 “Those who reject [Islamic] Faith, Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to any path except the way to Hell, to dwell therein forever. And this to Allah is easy.”

WE HAVE SEEN YOUR HELL AND RAISE YOU RUNNING WATER IN HOMES!!!

Qur’an 5:78 “Curses were pronounced on the unbelievers, the Children of Israel who rejected Islam, by the tongues of David and of Jesus because they disobeyed and rebelled.”

SO THEY ARE JUST BEING TRUE TO THEIR FAITH HE IS RIGHT ABOUT ALL THEIR HATE??? BEEN AROUND FOR ALONG TIME??

Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends. They are but friends and protectors to each other.”

PRETTY PLANE HERE WONDER HOW MANY IN CONGRESS KNOW THIS ONE??

Qur’an 33:25 “Allah drove the disbelievers back...and helped the believers in battle.... He terrorized the People of the Book so that you killed some and made many captive.”

YEA THEY LIKED SLAVES???

Qur’an 2:104 “To those who don’t submit there is a grievous punishment.”

NOW THAT JUST AINT RIGHT!!

Qur’an 3:61 “If anyone disputes with you about Jesus being divine, flee them and pray that Allah will curse them.”

NOW CHRISTIANS THIS MEANS THEY HATE YOU!!

Qur’an 6:66 “The people reject this (Book) and call it a lie though it is the truth. Say: ‘I am not a warden over you.’ ...When you see men who meddle with Our Revelations, turn away, withdrawing from them. Satan makes you forget.”

NOW COULD THIS BE THE MARK OF THE BEAST HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR MARKS AFTER BEATING THEIRSELVES WITH SWORDS??

Qur’an 5:72 “They are surely infidels who blaspheme and say: ‘God is Christ, the Messiah, the son of Mary.’ But the Messiah only said: ‘O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.’”

LOOKS LIKE IT IS CHRISTIANS WHO THEY THINK ARE THE INFIDELS?? WHICH MEANS THEY CAN INSLAVE THEM AND LIE TO THEM??

Qur’an 5:77 “Say (Muhammad): ‘People of the Book, do not overstep the bounds in your religion, or follow the people who erred and led many astray. Cursed are the unbelievers among the Children of Israel by David and Jesus.... They do vile things, allying themselves with the infidels so that Allah’s indignation is upon them and in torment they will suffer for all eternity.” [Another translation reads:] “Curses were pronounced on the unbelievers, the Children of Israel who rejected Islam, by the tongues of David and of Jesus because they disobeyed and rebelled.”

SO HOW IS IT THEY SAY WE BELIEVE IN THE SAME GOD??

Interesting article. Once you get past the "Osama bi Laden is a good muslim" part you read:

"...Islamic militants would rather have more dead than alive. I think the Westerners should grant them their wishes."

The author supports the elimination of islamic terrorists. That's good.

Next:

".......The Middle East is the only region that is poisoning Muslims and Westerners next. The best way to stop the bleeding is to bring democracy into this part of the world, even by force. But, democracy is not perfect, it evolves and gets better. Over time, the democracy gets stronger and better. It will happen as we saw in the former Soviet republics. The Arabs will win their independence. Not independence from the West but from their Arab leaders. I really think that the intervention in Iraq was good. It's a way to accelerate history. Most of the Iranian diplomats I met would like for the United States intervene against Tehran like they've done in Baghdad. But, they know that the Iran situation is different as well. "

Let's not paint all muslims with the same brush. There are many muslims who want to grow beyond the present confines of their faith and are looking for ways to do so. Let's help them, like we're doing in Iraq.

This interviewee inadverdently manages to shed light on one very important aspect of Islam: its ideology is inherently so extremely violent and radical that it escapes any efforts to pigeonhole it as a radical movement. Islam is BEYOND RADICAL and cannot be labeled radical--that would be like labeling a great white shark as a 'fish'. Islam is an apocalypse for humanity and common decency. Its essential nature as a force of evil and horror, when embraced, causes the concept of respect for human life to disappear. All that is left when this is done is killing. When killing is legitimized in the human mind, which is the actual goal of Islam, persons as Ousamah bin Looney Tunes become outstanding...the stuff of legends.

Islam thus can be seen to be no more radical today than at any other point in its history. Its genocidal forces have been kept at bay in recent history but they are being unleashed with increasing force. If you don't believe me, realize that Islam has murdered at least 500 MILLION humans over the past 13 centuries and obliterated one civilization after another (the EGyptian, the Byzantine, the Syrian, the Buddhist civilization of Central Asia, Hindustan, the Hindu-Buddhist empires of Central Java, the gypsies of what is now Northern Pakistan...to name a few). The horror of the Balkan war is over 800 years old. Israel has been struggling to keep Islamic terror at bay since the 600s.

A word of warning to those under the false impression that islam can be 'modified' and made benign. It's not going to happen. The inherent nature of Islam is that EVERYTHING laid down in the Qur'an is the word of the Islamic deity--obey EVERY WORD or else!

Yes, there are 'moderate' Muslims. But all that means is that these people have consciously rejected cedrtain aspects of Islam--which although is good for us, is not so good for them, at least under Islamic "jurisprudence.". Such Muslims are considered by Islamic "jurisprudence" to be infidels and may be massacred along with other non-Muslims.

The only way to deal with Islam is to first acknowledge it for what it is: a human sacrifice cult that has dressed itself up to resemble a Judeo-Christian faith to use to its advantage....and then pie the earth clean of it-- before it pies the earth clean of all life.

Gaudi says that the Arabs will never be satisfied with a part of the land, they want it all. How many times do we have to hear that to understand that Israel can never achieve peace by giving up land unless they give it all up, and that will not happen.

Lest we forget: the current US administration has repeatedly anathemized any characterization of Islam - including the now suppressed position of Southern Baptists - as anything but benign. Bush himself believes - ground in common-faith-of-Abraham rubbish - both that Muslims are inherently peaceful, and that beligerent persons who invoke Islamic jihad as a prelude to terror, are not of the "true faith of islam." Yet, the very fact that Shiites are allowed to make Hajj, proves that Muslims tolerate sects within the cult. Generally, Muslims don't condemn bin Laden's attacks on the West, because dubious Hadith references prescribe indulgence of sectarian violence, but only where it is directed at target states, like Israel, Chechnya and India. Most Muslim leaders are rear-guard participants in the current global-Islamofascist terror war. Four days after the 9-11 murderers, the leader of the Free World, took Oval Office counsel from 4 American Islamofascist leaders, andthen stated the following in the Islamic Center of Washington, DC:

President George Bush, Sept 16, 2001

"ISLAM IS PEACE"

These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. And it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that.

The English translation is not as eloquent as the original Arabic, but let me quote from the Koran, itself: In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil. For that they rejected the signs of Allah and held them up to ridicule.

The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and war.

When we think of Islam we think of a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. Billions of people find comfort and solace and peace. And that's made brothers and sisters out of every race -- out of every race.

America counts millions of Muslims amongst our citizens, and Muslims make an incredibly valuable contribution to our country. Muslims are doctors, lawyers, law professors, members of the military, entrepreneurs, shopkeepers, moms and dads. And they need to be treated with respect. In our anger and emotion, our fellow Americans must treat each other with respect.

Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That's not the America I know. That's not the America I value...

------------------------------------------------
Very dhimmi, and obviously depraved.

I had forgotten just how absurd those comments on Islam were. And the higher you are,the less time you have to educate yourself, and the more you rely on what others tell you. What if those "others" include John Esposito? Or a nice Muslim serviceman, like Aboul-Enein? What can one expect, except apologetics? How can Bush, how can Rumsfeld, how can anyone really learn enough about the theory and practice of Islam, when days are spent in meetings, and position papers, and 1 or 2 or 3 page "summaries" of "talking points," and there is no time to read, re-read, think, re-read, think again, about what Islam is all about. Above all, it takes time, and when one has reached the top, time is what you do not have.

So here is a message: right now captains and majors should be studying the theory and practice of Islam. For most of the generals, it is too late. Those who are in the government should, if they still have the time to read anything, should read Robert Spencer, Ibn Warraq, and Bat Ye'or, and re-read them, until it has all sunk in. The tenets of Islam are taken seriously. What are they? And how, in time and space, has the practice of Islam reflected its theory?

Find out, while you have the time. Then, when you in turn rise resisitibly or irresistibly, and are running things, you will not have to rely on "experts" who are in reality Arab hirelings, or apologists of one sort of another, sometimes out of motives as innocent as filial piety, for your knowledge of Islam. And the menace is here to stay. It will not diminish, and will not disappear.

Mohammed Ibn Gaudi is on target. He has a sense of the scope of Islamic history, its culture, and the social psychologies of the various Islamic peoples. I hope Europe listens to him a good bit more.

However, if he is truly in contact with Iranian dips wishing for the USA to intervene, I pray that he will tell them that if there are more Iranians like them, they need to clandestinely organize, and start the ball rolling so that they can have the following simultaneously: (1) the mad mullahs removed from power, (2) Iran-USA rapprochement, and (3) an Iran with infrastructure and populace undamaged by war. As something of a hawk myself, I think we all would've been much better off had the Iraqis managed some kind of "people power" to remove Sodom Insane. Indeed, if there are Iranian diplomats sick of representing the whims of the mad mullahs, it might be the wisest thing if the USA sat back and encouraged, from the sidelines, the growth of an effective Iranian opposition. If MIG is right, the time may be ripe for it.

Hugh--before we accuse Pres. Bush of practicing the higher dhimmitude, or that Aboul-einim is the representative of all Muslims in the US, its government, and armed services. Those who serve honorably and do their jobs simply don't come onto anyone's radar except, perhaps, their supervisors or commanders and other associates. If Bush is all the Evangelical fundamentalist he's cracked up to be, I'm sure he thinks it's a pity that more Muslims don't convert to Christianity; and that Buddhism, Daoism, and Hinduism are false, too. Yet he does have a religion that enjoins him towards charity towards others, and that conversions are made by God's Word and Spirit, rather than by force. In his job, he has to deal not only with the demands of the God he worships, but also how to be President of Americans who are of a different faith, too (and there are, I believe, God-pleasing ways to mesh these things). Hence, the Pres. has my prayers that God would grant him wisdom, and that he might lead our country aright.

BTW, I pray as well that God would enlighten Dems as well--at least to the point where Dr. Dean knows that Job is in the Old Testament rather than the New; and that he should choose a church based on more substantial things than whether or not it approves of a community bike path.

Osama a good Muslim?

Now who would doubt that?

Osama emulates the Prophet Mohammed, HE is his guiding light and that of all 'good Muslims'... That is exactly what Hugh is been saying, that's what many here on JW understand, even his own (Osama's) mother said: "he is a good Muslim..." Osama follows the Qu'ran, the 'holy guide-book for terrorism and he is steadfast in his way.

Our politicians don't get it. 99% of the 'free' world is oblivious. Everyone thinks they are some kind of religious nuts. (Which they are, but they don't think so)

For us, a 'good Muslim' is a dead Muslim.

The good ones like Osama, Zawahiri and Zarquawi want us dead...
Still want to pick and choose?
