This email came in to me this morning, with the subject line "JEWS HAVE NO RIGHT TO LIVE." I post it because I think it is important to bear in mind that there are people in the world who think this way, and that all decent people should oppose them with all their might.

I have to say that I have been in Israel for all of this war and I have never been more upbeat about this country. All of the sudden Israelis are pulling out all the stops to support each other. My community is putting up 50+ people from the north in a boarding school. And that is being repeated all over Israel. Morall is high here and everyone is pitching in.

Mel Gibson had to go balistic at a very, very, bad time right now with his anti-semitic remarks while drunk. The Jewish people are on edge as it is not for Isreal which is fighting for its very life, God Bless Isreal in her just war fight, but also with anti-semitism making a very ugly comeback around the world, even in the USA with what happened over in Seattle, WA, this past weekend with that tragic shooting. What gets me really iritated is when anyone, Muslim or not who uses ALL CAPS when they try to present their position. Do they not know that ALL CAPS means screaming in the internet world. That is a big no-no. Also when it is a Muslim, doing that means they are speaking from being very insecure themselves.

As a Chrisitan educator; I think it is important to had an understanding of the materials presented.
The Semitic people are tied to the linguistics of the original "Shem" languages. This family of languages includes: Amharic, Arabic, Aramaic, Assyrian, Akkadian, Hebrew, Maltese, Syriac, Tigrinya, etc.
The bible as we know is made of original text of many of these early languages. So, the people who study the Torah, and speak Hebrew are about 10% of the Semitic peoples; the people whom recant the Quran and speak Arabic are also Semitic people.
People whom study the early languages of Aramaic, Hebrew, Latin, and Arabic in the teaching of Jesus Christ are called Christians. However we all know the not all Christian's believe in the Roman Catholic or Anglican faith. GOD knows the war those two have had.
While I understand how this catch phrase become popular, it is still wrong and incorrect to use it when related to "Anti-Jewish" behavior.

While you do have your concerns about the phrase, "anti-semitic", and while I applaud your extentive knowledge of the different semitic languages as a Christian, the truth is that not many people would know about the other semitic languages and at this present time, the term refers chiefly to the wrongful treatment of Jewish persons. So much so that anti-Jewish and anti-semitic have become one and the same.
Come to think of it, Christians are by extention, "spiritual semites" since the Christian faith accepts Abraham as a positive spiritual role more in faith.

If there is any "backlash" against Muslims, it will most likely come from the USA because with our service people in both Iraq and in Afganistan, often in harms way, having been attacked nearly 5 years ago, and are fearful of another attack, look for a very angry "backlash" the Muslims coming from the USA. Plus remember also that in America there is a thing called the 2nd Amendment.

I have *a lot* of reservations about the handling of things in Iraq, and am not sure we should be there at all. The idea, though, that Bush and the US are there to "massacre thousand of Arabs" is ludicrous and false.

What religions are you talking about? Judaism teaches that everyone is a child to God. Christianity teaches to live a Christ like life. Buddhism teaches to find the Dharma and Nirvana. Hinduism teaches the Golden Rule. I don't see athiests and agnostics killing film directors in the middle of the street in Amesterdam. There is no other type of religious obligation like Jihad in any other religion (Which can be a catch-22). So what religions are you talking about?

Good point. Ever since I started posting, I've substituted the term 'Judeophobic' for anti-Semitic, to deny Mohammedans and their suck-up apologists the comeback line of "I'm pro-Arab and therefore not anti-Semite"
Seems like there are many on this bandwagon so thought I'd get on as well. Enjoyed the comment about killing even one Muslim is a massacre etc. lol. Reminds me of a period in history, long long ago, when a bunch of mercenaries with a serious lust for gold went in and kicked Mohammed's butt out of Jerusalem. We named their antics, rather fondly, the Crusades. Not exactly bedside stories for the grandkids, though. Hardly Christians in the real sense of that title, but sane enough to realise that the Mohammedan hordes needed to be stopped... dead.
Several Crusades later and there remained little of value in Jerusalem except a few ancient ruins, a 2-bit mosque and a bunch of wandering nomads. As has happened everywhere that Mohammed goes, desolation is sure to follow. But now, everything is different. Well, maybe not everything. The 2-bit mosque is still there, as are the wandering gonads (oops, I mean nomads). But pretty much everything else was rebuilt or reborn (even the fields) when the desert became Israel.
And how the wandering nomads hate that! I wonder if the relocating of the 2-bit mosque, tile by tile, to the desert of Arabia, will also be called a massacre. Only history can tell...
