Christian Divestment
I have just read an article which is most disturbing.
"Leading members of the Anglican church will recommend that their decision-making body adopt an anti-Israel divestment policy similar to the one the Presbyterian church passed earlier this summer."
It is hard for me to tell from this distance (physically and religiously) if Israel is being caught in between some form of intra-Christian theological debate, or there are simply influential members of the Church who have been hoodwinked by the Palestinian narrative and misunderstand Muslim replacement theology. One of my Christian readers has sent me material that clearly shows Muslim replacement theology starts with Mohammed replacing Moses, but extends to Jesus. Not only do Palestinian Muslims convince themselves that Abraham, Moses and King Solomon were followers of the not-yet-born Mohammed, but also Jesus was a faithful follower of Islam. Once they have dealt with the Jews, the Christians will follow. It is no accident that Bethlehem and Nazareth - once Christian Arab cities - are now predominantly Muslim. "Ater Saturday comes Sunday."
What is certain is that peace will not come as long as the Palestinian leadership remains the true enemy of the Palestinian Arab people. If they were to follow a program of peace, and stop stealing from their own people then there would be no need for "occupation", economic levels would significantly improve, and peace could be brought to the region. (See the analysis of some of the problems at www.euFunding.org.) They need to be exposed.
I urge my Christian readers who are concerned for the future of Israel to communicate their concerns at all levels of the Anglican Church. This is a critical time for Israel. We need our Christian friends to speak out loudly and clearly.
