NAIC Elects 2018 Officers

Members of the NAIC elected the following officers for 2018 today during its Fall 2017 National Meeting:

President: Tennessee Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak
President-Elect: Maine Insurance Superintendent Eric A. Cioppa
Vice President: South Carolina Insurance Director Raymond G. Farmer
Secretary-Treasurer: Hawaii Insurance Commissioner Gordon I. Ito

The newly elected officers will assume their duties on Jan. 1, 2018.

NAIC Honors Regulators with 2017 Dineen, President's Awards

The NAIC recognized three state regulators who have made significant contributions to state-based insurance regulation during the Opening Session of the NAIC's 2017 Fall National Meeting.

NAIC Hosts Fourth Annual Asia-Pacific Forum

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) hosted the Fourth Annual Asia-Pacific International Forum this week. The forum was held ahead of the NAIC's Fall 2017 National Meeting.

"The insurance world is rapidly changing and this forum allows us to discuss how insurance regulators and the industry are embracing the digital age," said Ted Nickel, NAIC President and Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner.

IAIS Secretary General Jonathan Dixon addresses the NAIC's Asia-Pacific International Forum.

NAIC Continues Support of Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands

With damage caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the NAIC has worked closely with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands' Office of the Lieutenant Governor — Division of Banking, Insurance and Financial Regulation to provide communications to consumers, media and the insurance industry.
