West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Long period southwest swell 2 metres easing. Southeast swell 2 metres easing. Fair visibility in showers, mainly morning and evening.

Outlook:

Outlook following 3 days: Tuesday: Easterly 20 knots developing in the morning, rising to 30 knots in the west in the afternoon. Sea becoming rough in the west. Wednesday: Rising to southeast 35 knots everywhere early, becoming northwest 20 knots later. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Thursday: Becoming southwest 15 knots but variable 10 knots in the east later.
