Glen View residents tortured by police and charged with murder
The police have charged a group of 12 Glen View residents and MDC-T activists with murder, following the Sunday death of a policemen at a local beer hall. A total of 24 residents had been picked up randomly by police, responding to the murder of policeman Petros Mutedza, who locals described as “a thug”.

Police and Kunonga thugs gang up on Anglican priests
A total of 16 Anglicans were arrested this week as police sided with thugs loyal to expelled Bishop Nolbert Kunonga. His supporters also tried to evict legitimate priests from their homes and instead of the police stopping the lawlessness they arrested the victims and those trying to help them. |
Top lawyers say SADC turning its back on human rights
Senior lawyers in the Southern African region have said that SADC leaders are turning their back on human rights by dissolving the region’s human rights Tribunal. Elize Angula, a top Namibian lawyer who represented a group of farmers during their landmark Tribunal case in 2008, said the decision is “a very sad moment in legal history.”

Zimbabwean teenager charged in UK ‘gangland’ murder
A 19 year-old Zimbabwean teenager, Phillip Tadzingwa Gambiza has been charged with murder following a mafia style shooting of a 25 year-old London man on Wednesday. |
Siwela release not confirmed
The jailed leader of the Mthwakazi Liberation Front (MLF) Paul Siwela, was due to walk out of Khami Prison in Bulawayo a free man on Friday after the success of his bail appeal case this week in Harare. |
