Toyota Cars Production Operating as Usual
The Toyota car manufacturer in Indonesia will proceed with their normal production of around 10,000 units per month starting this June. “We are even planning to do an overtime production at the end of the month,” said Irwan Priyantoko, PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia External Affairs Chief.

Garuda to Explore Flights on Makassar-Australia Route
Emirsyah Satar, the Garuda Indonesia CEO said PT Garuda Indonesia will add three units of Boeing 747-500 to serve direct daily flights from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar to Australia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Jeddah, and Kuala Lumpur.

President: No Place for a Religious State
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that establishing a nation based on religion and ideology other than Pancasila violates the law. “There is no place for such intentions in our country,” he said in his speech during Pancasila’s birthday commemoration in Nusantara IV Building of the House of Representatives/People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR/DPR) complex in Jakarta, last Wednesday.

Black Tea Production to Rise
This year’s production of black tea from Kaligua plantation in Brebes Regency, Central Java, will be sure to see a rise compared to 2010. Weather factors and the receding rain intensity are considered to be the determinants of the production increase of this tea—which will be exported to Europe. “The decreasing rain intensity helps the burgeoning process of young tea leaves,” Sri Hartono, Kaligua State-Owned Plantation Firm (PTPN) IX Tea Factory chief administrator, said last Wednesday.
