The Southeast Asian Climate Change Network is a UNEP initiative which provides technical support to Southeast Asian country governments to meet their commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The Network aims at building capacities of national climate change focal points and professionals by facilitating knowledge generation and sharing, and simultaneously providing targeted support using a regional networking approach.
It specifically targets to improve readiness for technology transfer both in mitigation and adaptation in the network countries, namely: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Network activities are supported by a dedicated team based at UNEP’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (ROAP), drawing additional expertise from internal and external experts and partners in the region and globally.
