You may have noticed the Inside AdWords blog has a new domain: https://adwords.googleblog.com/. That’s because Google is moving its blogs to a new domain to help people recognize when they’re reading an official blog from Google. These changes will roll out to all of Google’s blogs over time. The previous address will redirect to the new domain, so your bookmarks and links will continue to work.

In February, we announced ( https://goo.gl/XXkpyE ) that the Google Display Network and DoubleClick Digital Marketing are now going 100% HTML5. Starting June 30th, 2016, display ads built in Flash can no longer be uploaded into AdWords and DoubleClick Digital Marketing.

AdWords advertisers who use Flash ads in their campaigns have several ways to ensure your creative can continue to show on the Google Display Network. Read more here: https://goo.gl/ZBq5DR

Dynamic Search Ads are becoming even more relevant

Dynamic Search Ads (DSA) ( https://goo.gl/vgecYC ) allow you to dynamically create and show ads to people interested in your products and services -- without the need to manage keywords or ads. Over the next several months, we’re rolling out improvements to DSA campaigns to ensure your ads show for more relevant searches and result in better performance. For example, ads that point to a landing page about iced coffee makers will be less likely to show for less relevant searches like "iced coffee."

As we roll out these changes, you may see fluctuations in performance. We recommend monitoring your DSA campaigns using the search terms report ( https://goo.gl/L4sq8k) and optimizing accordingly. Try looking at conversion rate or return on investment -- in addition to clicks and clickthrough rate -- when evaluating performance.
