We're winding down our day here at the Googleplex in California, but there are still updates coming from down under. Google eBooks launched in Australia today, and +Google Australia has joined Google+. Add them to your circles for news just for Aussies.

We’ve got our eyes on Jasper Jones, Geraldine Brooks and Matthew Riley. In fact, there are hundreds of thousands of books from Australian and international authors to choose from.
We’re looking forward to a summer of reading on the beach - whether it’s on your phone, tablet or - if you’re stuck in the office - computer.

Peter Sherriff - Please try to get the pricing of the books on Google Books Australia to be a whole lot more competitive, try looking at the pricing of the latest Terry Pratchett eBook (Snuff) on Amazon vs. on Google Books Australia. As things stand I just can't justify the switch...
