    We didn’t make some consensus social choice to let NYC bars and restaurants open while potentially closing schools. It’s silly to pretend we did. Teachers unions can exercise power to protect their members, and schools don’t go out of business when they close.

    Just under 3,000 Americans were killed on 9/11 and it changed the entire trajectory of American life. We’re nearing to almost *100* times that - and a few times that just this month - and we still don’t even have a federal mask mandate. What an utter failure of government.
