Login notifications are an opt-in security feature that send alerts when your account is being accessed. When you have login notifications turned on, you'll be asked to register any new devices (ex: computers, mobile phones) you use to log in to Facebook. To adjust this setting:
  1. Go to your Account Settings page
  2. Click on the Security tab
  3. Click on the Login Notifications section and update your settings
  4. Save your changes

If you are prompted to reset your password every time you log in, your problem may be related to your web browser. To clear your browser’s cache and cookies, follow the instructions here.
  1. If you continue to experience problems, please log out of your account and reset your password here.
  2. If you still have to reset your password every time you log in to Facebook, try to log in with a different web browser.
    • If you do not currently have Microsoft Internet Explorer and would like to download it, click here.
    • If you do not currently have Mozilla Firefox and would like to download it, click here.
    • If you do not currently have Apple Safari and would like to download it, click here.

If you requested a password reset but didn't receive your password reset email:
  1. Check the spam or junk mail folder in your email account. Sometimes these emails are misdirected.
  2. Check all of the email accounts and mobile numbers connected to your Facebook account. When you request a password reset, you'll see a list of the email addresses and mobile numbers confirmed on your account. You'll have the option to send the password reset email to some or all of these accounts. Note: For security reasons, parts of the email addresses and phone numbers will be hidden (ex: fxxxxxxk@fxxxxxxk.com, xxxxxxx5555).
  3. Try to reset your password again.
  4. If you still don't receive the email after requesting a password reset a second time, wait 24 hours and try again. We may be experiencing temporary site issues.
  5. If you’re still not receiving your password reset email after the trying the four steps above, contact your Internet Service Provider (ex: Comcast) to make sure they’re not blocking email traffic coming from Facebook.
Tip: If you try to reset your password too many times too quickly, you may be temporarily blocked from requesting a password reset. If this happens, wait 24 hours and try again.
