You may buy Facebook Credits from the Payments tab in your Account Settings or directly from within any game. You can purchase Facebook Credits in your preferred currency using a major credit card, PayPal, your mobile phone and many other payment methods powered by PlaySpan and LiveGamer.



If you try to buy something in a game or app that costs more Facebook Credits than you currently have in your account, you will be prompted to purchase more. The item's cost will be deducted from the number of credits you purchase, and the remaining amount will be added to your balance.

• To see a list of available currencies, go to the Payments tab and click "change" next to "Preferred Currency". Purchases in non-US currencies are first converted to US dollars using the current exchange rate, then Facebook Credits are added to your account at USD $0.10 each.
• Depending on your mobile carrier, the mobile payment option may only be available for purchases under $10.00 of credits.

Note: when you add a credit card to your account, Facebook makes a small temporary charge to validate your credit card. This charge should disappear from your credit card statement within 3 to 5 business days.

Now, all games accept Facebook Credits to pay for their virtual goods or currency packages. You can check your Facebook Credits balance in the Payments tab of your account.

Facebook accepts American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Visa and PayPal worldwide. Please note that if we do not accept your local currency, you may still be able to use these payment methods, but your transactions may be subject to foreign exchange fees. It's possible that you've successfully made a payment with this game, but have not yet received the game item. Be aware that during periods of high traffic, it can take up to 3-4 hours for the purchased goods to appear in your account.

If you think there's an issue with the game not delivering a good or service, please follow these steps:

1. Go to your Payments Tab in your Account Settings
2. Click to view your Credits Purchase History
3. Verify that your transaction was successful by reviewing the receipt associated with your payment
4. Ensure that the item(s) you ordered have not been delivered in your game, noting that it may take up to 4 hours for virtual item purchases to be reflected in your game or app
5. If you have confirmed that your item was not delivered, notify the developer of the app by clicking the "Didn't receive this item" link in the Detailed Receipt
6. Follow the instructions to notify Facebook and contact the developer regarding your problem receiving virtual items

Please note your game item purchase may occasionally experience errors, in which case the equivalent amount of Facebook Credits may have been deposited into your Facebook Account balance to be used to complete your in-game purchase at a later time.

If you selected to buy Facebook Credits while using an app, you most likely used a portion of those credits to purchase an item. If so, you should be able to view your remaining balance in your account. The following example below may further clarify:

1. A user wants to purchase a "Premium Island" on Happy Island for 149 Facebook Credits but does not have any.
2. User is prompted to purchase 200 Facebook Credits.
3. After successfully purchasing the "Premium Island", the remaining 51 Facebook Credits will be added to their account balance.
4. A user can view their remaining Facebook Credits balance on the Payments tab in their account and use them for future purchases.

To change the preferred currency of your account, you can access the Payments tab and select your desired local currency from the drop-down menu. Your local currency will be used to display prices and charge your funding source.
If you pay with a mobile phone, prices will be displayed in the local currency of the country you select when making the purchase.

Any purchase of Facebook Credits using a non-US currency is first converted into US dollars using a daily exchange rate and then exchanged for Facebook credits at the rate of 1 credit for $.10 USD.

To protect your financial information, we may occasionally ask you to authorize a transaction by providing additional information. You may be asked to complete a Payment Verification when purchasing Facebook Credits from an application page or the Payments tab under your Credits Balance settings.

For security reasons, we ask that you complete this verification in order to complete your purchase.

Please note: You will only be asked to complete a Payment Verification when you attempt to make a purchase for Facebook Credits. We will never ask you for your full credit card number, but we may ask for the first six digits, or other verification information from your credit card statement.

To protect your financial information, we ask that you verify your account by providing the requested information.

You may be asked to verify part of your credit card number, or provide a unique transaction code found on your credit card statement.

• The unique transaction code can be found on your credit card statement next to any of your purchases for your Facebook account. Please note that this code is not the Transaction ID from your receipt from Facebook.
• If you see a hold on your card statement, but no unique transaction code, please wait a few days for your information to post.
• If you cannot access your credit card statement or if any charges from Facebook have not yet posted, we may be unable to process your transaction. When you are able to access your statement, you can provide this information on your next order.

Please note: You will only be asked to complete a Payment Verification when you attempt to make a purchase for Facebook Credits. We will never ask you for your full credit card number, but we may ask for the first six digits.

You can view your recent Facebook Credits purchases and associated receipts for specific items you have purchased on the Payments tab of the Account Settings menu:

1. Click on "Account Settings" in the drop-down menu you will find in the top right corner of your Facebook homepage, next to "Home"
2. Click on the "Payments" tab
3. Next to "Credits Purchase History," click the link to view purchases from the last 30 days

Now, all game developers accept Facebook Credits to pay for their game items. If you previously were billed by a game developer for cash, coins, or points, the charges associated with these items are now be processed by Facebook and will appear as coming from Facebook on your credit card statement.

Please note that now all purchases of virtual items or currency packages in an app are powered by Facebook Credits. This means that when you are buying a package of a game currency like FarmCash you are simultaneously purchasing Facebook Credits which automatically convert to the currency package you want to buy.

If you do not have any Facebook Credits in your balance or not enough to purchase the selected currency package, you will be prompted to buy the amount of Facebook Credits necessary to make the purchase.
If this is your case and you are using a credit card or PayPal to make the purchase, you will be able to buy the exact amount of Facebook Credits needed to purchase the currency package. However, other payment methods such as mobile phone may require that you buy some more Facebook Credits than needed; in this case, once you complete your purchase within the game, the currency package you bought (e.g. FarmCash) will appear in your game and the remaining Facebook Credits will be added to your Facebook Credits balance.

Please note your game item purchase may occasionally experience errors, in which case the equivalent amount of Facebook Credits may have been deposited into your Facebook Account balance to be used to complete your in-game purchase at a later time.

You can check your Facebook Credits balance in the Payments tab of your account.

This $1.01 is simply a temporary authorization to validate your credit card. The authorization will be removed from your credit card automatically, typically within 3-5 business days. Facebook makes these authorization charges and then immediately invalidates them. If the $1.01 remains on your statement for an extended period of time, please contact your bank to ask why the authorization has not been removed even though it has been voided by Facebook.

We understand it can be very disconcerting to see unusual activity on your account statement, and we'd like to help you resolve this issue. Please click on your Facebook Credits detailed purchase receipt for more information regarding your credit card charge.

We understand it must be confusing to receive a receipt for a charge on Facebook when you have never made a purchase or linked a credit card or PayPal account to your profile. rest assured that if you have never added a payment method to your account, these charges will not be reflected in your bank statement.

In order to receive more detailed information about any purchases on your account, go to your Credits Purchase History found in the Payments tab of your account settings. From there you should be able to view all purchases made to your account and if necessary, contact us to dispute the charge.
