August 4 primary results

Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Washington hold primaries for Senate, House and governor, with key Senate races this year in Arizona and Kansas.

Kansas primaries to watch

Both parties are choosing their candidates to vie to replace retiring Sen. Pat Roberts. In Kansas's 2nd District, freshman Rep. Steve Watkins is facing charges related to voter fraud.

Michigan primaries to watch

Brenda Jones, the Detroit city council president, is challenging Rep. Rashida Tlaib in the Democratic primary in the 13th District. Tlaib won in 2018, but Jones won a special election for that seat the same day. 

Missouri primaries to watch

Rep. William Lacy Clay is again facing Cori Bush, a Bernie Sanders surrogate, in the 1st District's Democratic primary.
