This is an invitation for all Egyptians inside and outside to make the 5th of June every year as the Egyptian Remembrance Day just like the British Remembrance Day to remember our POWs who died . Let’s turn our defeat day in to a day to remember those who were killed in one of the modern history worst genocides.
Let’s go on this day with our children and in our hands an original Egyptian Red Rose that drunk from the water of the Nile and blossomed in the soil of Egypt to put on the memorial of the unknown soldier memorial in Medinat Nasr and in every soldier memorial in every Governate in Egypt
Let’s put in our clothes a poppy lapel pin just like the British do , Let’s wear it for a week from the 5th of June to the 10th of June as a tribute of respect to those Men who were killed away from their beloved one but not away from their home Read more... Unfortunately I missed watching this session of the Egyptian assembly on air yesterday , now I guess it was edited to remove all what happened in it .Yesterday Foreign minister “Ahmed El-Gait” attended the meeting with the assembly members to discuss the updates of the POWs case and to discuss his statement about it , yet it didn’t go easy at all , it turned in to some kind of war of the world between the foreign minister and the MPs to become a historical session as the for the first time a foreign minister in Egypt would face such attack in the assembly.
The MPs accused the minister of ignoring the case where as the minister defended his position explaining the difficulty of the case as we can’t go to the international criminal court because it doesn’t look in cases that took place before the year 2002 , fact that is mentioned in the law section Read more... According to this news in Arabic president Mubarak gave his order to the Foreign ministry to study “The exact meaning in Arabic” the POWs Case with its both legal and political parts
This was the statement of Foreign minister in front of the Foreign and Arabic affairs committees in the assembly yesterday
He also said very important statement I believe it should be highlighted
Having Peace with Israel doesn’t mean that we will give up our dignity or rights
This really good and promising but I hope it would go beyond the ”study”

Yesterday Israel celebrated the Yom HaShoah “The Remembrance day for the Holocaust and Heroism”.
I have nothing this and I am not from the camp that dedicated his or her to suspect that the Holocaust took place despite the fact I do believe it took place but in less number
Anyhow I wonder when we will have our “Yom Hashoah” in Egypt to remember the Holocaust victims of Egyptian POWs in 1967 , oh yes we had our own holocaust back in 1967
In Al-Arish and in Gaza cities as places
Egyptian POWs as the victims
and those who celebrated the Yom HaShoah yesterday the 16th of April as the victimizers
Please read this part from the Al-Arish people testimonies’ section and remember our officers and Soldiers who were burned alive and till now got now museum or a special day for remembrance Read more... (168 words, estimated 40 secs reading time)
I have got Bad News and Good News as I think I will start with the Bad news before the Good news as I always do
The bad news I found out that Egypt can’t use the international criminal court not because it doesn’t prosecute in the crimes that took place before 2002 but because Egypt already is not a member , The Egyptian government signed it but didn’t ratify on it till now ,same thing for Israel who accused the ICC to be influenced by some countries !!
You can check the updates in the Law section
The good news is better , in fact it is a scoop in my humble opinion
The USS Liberty again whose crew came supporting Israel and left attacking the IDF and its governemtn till now Read more... (263 words, estimated 1:03 mins reading time)
A very interesting article that reflects what the majority of Egyptian thinks and feels regarding the Egyptian POWs
It is written in Arabic by Mr. Ahmed Marzok and it is published in the Egyptian News portal Filbalad , which is one of the most popular and successful fast growing websites not only in Egypt but in the Arab world
I highy recommend reading it
I will try to translate it , I won’t depend upon the bad google Arabic / English translation because lots of words will lose their meaning

By the way expect more updates soon as there is an important good discovery I found in the USS liberty incident

More than 20 members in The Egyptian Shura Council requested the discussion of the Egyptian Official policy regarding the 1967 Egyptian POWs issue. They also wanted to study the possibility of having a suite case in front of the Egyptian courts against Ban Eliezer , the minister of housing in Israel and the former Shaked unit, who was accusing of murdering 250 Egyptian POWs during the six days war, they wanted to know the policy of the Ministry of Justice in having law suites by the general attorney against Eliezer according to the panels law if the massacre happened on the Egyptian land
They demanded too Israel to pay 10 billion American dollar for the 1967 POWs who were murdered by the IDF in Al-Arish.
The head of the Shura Council “Sawfot El-Sherif” sent these requests to the Arabic affairs and Security committee Read more... (269 words, estimated 1:05 mins reading time)
