Meanwhile in Estonia

Meanwhile in Estonia, people caught for participating in riots against “the bronze soldier re-positioning” are being held in the hanger, all handcuffed, forced to seat on the floor, from time to time being baton by policemen, at least this what can be seen in this hidden cameraphone video, smuggled from out there.

Russians and Germans – Brothers Forever

russian priest and nazi officer

Yesterday we had a photo of Russian and Nazi officers posing together being in friendly relations – just before Nazi invaded Russia.

Today someone submitted us a photo from a family archive which was made already during the Nazi invasion to Russia. Russian Orthodox Christian priest and a Nazi German officer looking like old-time pals. Maybe that’s because Soviets oppressed church in Russia but Germans came and they started feel themselves free? But Germans were catholics and it was not so easy for them to accept another branch of church. Who knows, too many lies were issued by governments and too much truth was concealed.

Say Hi to Space

If to continue the topic of Google Earth and satellite images, we found this story. A group of Russians decided to say “Hi!” to all other Google Earth lovers around the world in their own, very Russian way. They wrote the word that is most popular in Russia and in the same time it is the most curse word. You won’t hear it from TV or radio, won’t read it in any newspaper or won’t meet it in a movie – it’s always censored out, but all the Russian fences, public bathrooms etc have it. Many Russians use it, it’s almost as popular as “f”-word in USA, maybe even more popular in Russia. You can learn more about it in this Wiki article.

Russian Satellite Photo Service

Russian agency started an “alternative to Google Earth”. It doesn’t use Google data and only Russian space data is being used. It claims to be “an alternative for Google Earth with more detailed coverage of Russian territory”. For now this detailed alternative shows only Moscow city and nearby small towns totally failing showing something more distant, even St. Petersburg is not visible in detail. As for detail level it also for the moment cannot be compared with Google Earth – it is far more less-detailed view when you zoom in on Moscow city. But you can try yourself this early beta and maybe someday it would be really a good alternative.

Shooting-Range: Target – NYC

shooting range with nyc target

This is a shooting-range cabin in some small Russian town. Look what they have painted on its walls. Two tall WTC-alike buildings and a plane – before the hit and after. Why is that so? Don’t they feel any compassion to American sister-nation? And it’s Russia not Iran. Or maybe the secret sense is to shoot out the terrorists on the plane?

German Nazi and Soviets Were Friends

german and soviet soldiers were friends

Right before the WW2 often you could meet German Nazi and Soviet officers chatting together in Europe like friends on different parades and military events. Even when the whole Europe was occupied by the Nazis they were in friendly relations with Russians. They say that the German attack on the Soviet Union was a big surprise to Mr. Stalin and he didn’t want to believe first hours after the attack started that it had happened, didn’t give any order to counter-attack, he was waiting this would stop as some big error from German side.
