Climb the Power Line
This happened in Ryazan city, Russia a few days ago. This guy you see on the picture has came to this city from his distant village in Dagestan, Southern Russia. He came by train and was hoping that he would be warmly met right on the railway station by his relatives in this city. After he stepped out of the train he found nobody and got so offended by this miserable act of his kindred that he decided the best way to show express his hard feelings would be to climb on the nearest power line and stay there for some time until the crowd would be attracted. So he did, and so the crowd has gathered and the police was called together with a psychologist. These were long negotiations but finally he got down.

These guys play popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game for real. They on purpose go to the Chernobyl area of the nuclear disaster explosion site dress in Stalker themed cloths and play, even involving armored vehicles and real guns. And that’s all just a few yards away from the disaster site, the place where there is still a high dose of radiation in the soil.

Some time ago we had a story of “prehistoric fish in Russian pond“. Many opinions have been expressed on this, many thought these were triops, and the size of them was much smaller than it was in the article text. But see this now: another time such creatures caught now in different Russian city and now on the video. These things are huge and they look unfriendly, just imagine somebody go swimming to their pond. And people say it’s 3 feet long!

Graduation 2008
So it’s graduation day in Russia, once again. And once again here are the shots from the Russian streets on this day. Thousands of ex-schoolguys and gals invade streets of Russian cities to dance, party. The one and the most remarkable tradition amongst them on this day is to bathe in the fountains.
