After Action Reports
- After-Action Report: 17 August 2007, 1800 Hours Washington, NC
The Moonbats assembled in Washington, NC sank to a new low yesterday. As usual their crowd was small but larger than the week before. The Eagles responded to the call of battle and once again we had to chase their coward asses down the street since they do not want to stand in front of us and defend ‘who the hell knows’ their position.
The City of Washington was putting on a “block party” of music, food and dancing for the young people of Washington. I dare say there were a good thousand plus of teens, parents and the citizens of the wonderful city of Washington in attendance.
And then came the ROLLING THUNDER of Jacksonville, NC Chapter on their beautiful bikes accompanied by wives and friends. They also had many lady riders as well. What a beautiful sight to hold. They cruised by with their flags flapping in the breeze, their stereos blaring the Marine Corp Hymn, Anchors A Weigh, Star Spangled Banner and many others songs.
The Moonbat Scumbags were absolutely blown away. They were mortified! They had the pangs of fear sweep through their bodies and I think one of them peed in their pants. After a couple of “gun runs”, er… passes!, they parked their beautiful steeds of steel and walked up to our position on the line in their full regalia and hats.
I started laughing when the Moonbats came together in a huddle and I heard one exclaimed “Holy Sh*t” they are coming up here to get us. I think I could speak for the whole crowd of Eagles saying how proud we were to be an Eagle and a Vietnam Vet and see these brothers and sisters coming up to join us at our battle line. It was better than seeing the Cavalry save the day!
Now for the sad part of the evening. This demonstrates the MoonBat Scumbags will resort to anything. Because they were vastly outgunned, they begin to grab young people and anyone who would listen to them to recruit them on the spot to counter the Eagles. They especially went after the young people. They put these young teens IN FRONT OF THEM TO PROTECT THEMSELVES….! Just like the NVA would put innocent children and women in the front lines knowing the Americans would not fire on innocents! How damn low can you get. Now the sickening part!
Many of the young people rode by blew their horns in support of the Eagles. Some wandered across the street and were mobbed by the Moonbats to sign their petition. Of one group of teens (5 in number) were conned into holding up signs for the Moonbats; “TEENS FOR PEACE” and the real low one a young lady probably sixteen years old holding a sign “FU*K BUSH”. The other disgusting sign was shown by a young lad, maybe 18-20 “POT FOR PEACE.”
Most of the Eagles on the field last night are fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers. Imagine yourself recruiting children to stand in front lines to protect yourself and then display signs of filth and disrespect. These Moonbats have NO HONOR, NO RESPECT, NO LOVE OF CHILDREN AND NOTHING ELSE but their own personal greed and stupid, moronic code of hate.
I am more proud of being an Eagle than ever before. All of us out there should be proud. We will win! We will see the face of America change. Our fathers generation screwed it up and we are going to fix it. I cannot imagine how much our brothers on the Wall are proud of us. If we could see them for day, I think they would say, “Well Done”.
LOOK OUT MOONBATS. YOUR DAY OF RECKONING IS AT HAND!
EAGLES UP, CLAWS OUT, INBOUND FOR THE PREY! - Eagles on Traveling Wall Escort Duty in Ohio
Contributed by Luke Patrino, GOE State Coordinator, Ohio
First, I want to thank all the law enforcement agencies that helped make the escort a safe ride for all who took part: The Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Wood and Henry Co. Sheriff’s Departments, and the Napoleon Police Department. A huge thank you to these public servants.
More then 600 motorcycles left Napoleon Harley Davidson and rode to North Baltimore, where we met hundreds more at The Wall. The 8 mile caravan traveled north on I-75 to Route 6. As soon as we turned west on Rt. 6 we started seeing people waving flags sitting in their front yards and cheering as we rode by. The 30 mile ride on 6 showed the true American Spirit here in the heartland. I had tears in my eyes as thousands cheered and waved at us riding by. Hundreds turned out as we passed through Weston and McClure. When we arrived in Napoleon our route through the city was lined with supporters. All this on a Thursday morning and afternoon, I wonder if anyone went to work yesterday.
A special thank you to all who helped make this event a resounding success, especially Napoleon Harley Davidson where our Honored Wall will be displayed till Sunday August 19th. Events planned for the next 3 days include viewing the Wall, beginning 8:00am Friday, 24 hours a day through Sunday at 4:00pm. Opening Ceremonies are at 7:00pm Friday. A Military and Motorcycle Parade through downtown Napoleon is at noon on Saturday with a special Ceremony honoring military families at 3:00pm. Sunday will see a sunrise service and Freedom Launch followed by an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for $6.00 per person. Closing Ceremonies are at 3:00pm Sunday.

- You?d Have Been Proud?
…of your water-soaked Eagles in Washington, NC, today! From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we hung tough during a violent wind- and rain storm on Washington’s waterfront. Signs and caps were flying all over the place, but we weren’t about to leave as long as there was a single moonbat in the area.
And we WERE soaked, but we didn’t leave until our permitted time expired. At the end, about 15 Eagles were still receiving the honks, waves, and salutes of the local folks driving by, compared to only three or four moonbats, who really had a thankless experience.
And the media turned out in force! Three television stations and two newspapers were represented, and Uncle George Samek was once again the face of GOE. As always, he did a great job outlining the goals and intentions of our organization in a most colorful manner.
All told, there were about thirty or forty Eagles, including three or four folks from Eagles Up, standing across the street from, at highest count, thirteen moonbats. They were outnumbered and outclassed, and the local police loved us.
Bubba, Yakfisher, Cody, George, and several other out-of-town Eagles showed up and showed the flag for our troops.
Well done, all of you!
- Nothing Goes Unchallenged
The Iraq Veterans Against the War, the Delaware Valley Veterans of America and Cindy Sheehan came to Philly today. They had a scheduled program from 1330 to 1530. I showed up at 1230 and was met nearly immediately by Eagles and the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club. We flew the flag, waved signs and had a dozen passers-by join our number. Right away we were challenged with the usual angry rhetoric. With facts at our disposal, they resorted to name calling, but remember–they “support the troops.”
At various points I was assaulted by a member of the Granny Peace Brigade and an angry Asian college-aged female, but remember, they are “peace activists.” We were consistently told to be quiet and to let their litany of Leftists speak, but remember, they are the tolerant ones dedicated to free speech. In fact, at one point, the Park Service took me aside to ask if I could please be quiet because we were just too loud.
By the time Cindy arrived we numbered around 40 and the opposition was around 100. That, of course, meant they were completely out-numbered. With air horns and loud voices we challenged Cindy as she took the place of dishonor. Within a minute she was directly responding to my challenges, and 2 to 5 minutes later she was gone, citing security concerns.
After Cindy left we raised a little ruckus with the opposition, attempted to change some minds and then escorted them to their waiting bus. It was a win, pure and simple. The organizers of the I Hate America rally, including Bill Perry, a Vietnam Vet who has become friends with Jane Fonda, complained loudly to the police and Park Service that we had ruined their affair. It seems that they have gone unchallenged for so long that they resort to name-calling and whining for rescue from the big, bad veterans at the very moment we appear. Remember though, they truly support the troops.
The weather was perfect, the brothers and sisters amazing. Eagle Tom Murtha, a Marine who served a year in Korea and better than three tours in Vietnam, summed up the day with a perfect retort to a challenge of, “Why don’t you join the Army if you like the war so much?”
“Lady,” he replied, “I’m a Marine who has 4 years of combat service, and you ain’t doing to these guys what you did to us.” No my brothers and sisters, they will not. Manchu.

We had a very successful rally in Charlottesville, VA. Charlottesville is a little piece of Berkeley in Virginia, so we weren’t able to match the number of Sheehan supporters, especially since they were all local and we had to drive in from the surrounding counties and states. Many supporters drove an hour or more to come. But we probably had over 100 supporters, and we were able to get front page attention in the Charlottesville newspaper, The Daily Progress: Gathering of Eagles versus Cindy Sheehan Special thanks goes out to the Eagles who joined us from Richmond. Particularly special thanks goes out to Bubba McDonald of Raleigh, NC, who drove over four hours to Charlottesville to join us, and showed tremendous enthusiasm at the rally. (Bubba is in the cowboy hat and sunglasses in the photo attached to The Daily Progress article.)
Special thanks also goes to Keith Drake, head of the Albemarle County GOP, who provided terrific guidance and support throughout. Finally, the tremendous efforts of Lynn Mitchell must be acknowledged and cheered. She brought over a dozen supporters from not-so-neighboring Augusta County. You can read her excellent posts and see her photos of the rally here: Lynn Mitchell’s site
The local NBC also caught the Eagles in action!
The following is the press release issued by Joshua Levy:
Over 100 supporters of the “Win the War” campaign ( www.win-the-war.com) journeyed from as far away as Raleigh, Leesburg, Staunton and Richmond to join a pro-victory counter-rally to the impeachment and anti-war rally led by Cindy Sheehan. They included many veterans and relatives of soldiers, as well as some who were soon to go serve. The supporters, many of whom carried flags and victory signs, began by saying the pledge of allegiance in honor of soldiers currently fighting for American freedoms.
They gathered first in front of the Paramount Theatre, where Keith Drake, Chairman of the Albemarle County GOP, and Josh Levy, founder of the “Win the War” campaign, addressed them. After hailing members of the group who came from different regions of the state, Drake got the crowd cheering. “We have the choice to fight the enemy on foreign soil, or on our soil,” he declared. Though passers-by attempted to shout down the speakers, the “Win the War” supporters were unaffected. Said Levy, “The anti-war crowd does not represent the majority of the American people, who hate war, but hate defeat more.”
At 6 p.m. the over 100-strong group marched down to the lower end of the mall by the ice park, where Sheehan’s rally had begun. They intermingled with the crowd, holding up signs such as “Victory in Iraq” and “Except for ending slavery, fascism, Nazism, and communism, war has never solved anything.”
Despite constant insults and heckling from the Sheehan crowd, the group generally respected the right of the speakers to address the rally. The members of the pro-victory counter-rally raised their voices when Sheehan’s supporters yelled or clapped. Generally, the pro-victory supporters responded by chanting, “Win the war! Win the war!”
After Sheehan’s crowd moved up the mall toward the Pavilion, the “Win the War” members remained in place. Drake thanked them all sincerely while the crowd shouted and clapped enthusiastically. Levy added that the Sheehan group believed that dissent is the highest form of patriotism until someone dissents from them. He concluded by saying that the war would be won or lost here at home, not on the battlefield, where many, such as John Burns of the New York Times, have recognized the significant successes of the new strategy.

Although the Albemarle County GOP helped coordinate the counter-rally, the “Win the War!” campaign aims to reach out to Democrats, Republicans, and independents. Believing that the war cannot remain the policy of one party alone and still succeed, the campaign emphasizes the overarching reasons for fighting and not retreating until Al Quaeda in Iraq is destroyed and a peaceful, decent society is established.
Many liberals, moderates and conservatives who now lose heart once stood firmly behind the war. It is to them, as well as to those still dedicated to winning, that the campaign will appeal.
It is hoped that this grassroots network will sustain the fight in Iraq over the long-term. Most media stories center on the frustration of Americans with the war. But if political candidates see that a majority of Americans nonetheless stand for victory, they will align their positions accordingly. The debate will likewise change. It will not be between “staying the course” and “pulling out,” but instead will focus on the best way to achieve victory and build a decent, self-reliant and productive society in Iraq .

”At the School of the Assassins in Columbus, GA, and in Charlotte, NC, we ran into similar problems: police presence that seemed to be there to foster violence. At both places the neo-Nazi, pro-war fascist group “Gathering of Eagles” came out to mostly try to intimidate us from our mission,” Sheehan writes in her blog.
A blog written by antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan and posted on MichaelMoore.com criticizes Charlotte police for allowing counter-protesters to “try to intimidate us” during Sheehan’s antiwar rally Tuesday in Bryant Park.
But in a memo to top police administrators, one captain said officers had no issues during the two-hour event and expressed surprise at the complaints.
“At the School of the Assassins in Columbus, GA, and in Charlotte, NC, we ran into similar problems: police presence that seemed to be there to foster violence. At both places the neo-Nazi, pro-war fascist group “Gathering of Eagles” came out to mostly try to intimidate us from our mission,” Sheehan writes in her blog.
“At Ft. Benning, after we complained, the police kept them separate from us, but in Charlotte, the police refused saying that the Eagles had their rights to `freedom of speech.’ “
Sheehan, one of the best-known opponents of the war in Iraq, stayed in her car during the antiwar rally at Bryant Park that drew about 125 people.
Instead of addressing the crowd — some of her supporters said there was concern about her safety — Sheehan moved to Talley’s Green Grocery in Dilworth.
In a police memo dated July 19, Capt. Doug Gallant, who reviewed and evaluated the event in Bryant Park, said he was “quite frankly, surprised there have been complaints….”
The police memo says the 14 officers on hand noticed no displays that violated North Carolina law. One protester began using profanity, the memo says, and an officer asked the person to stop cursing.
The memo also says that police didn’t have to bring in physical barriers, like bike racks, to keep the groups away from each other. At one point, Sheehan’s security advisor said she had concerns about the Gathering of Eagles, and officers asked the group to move back, creating a buffer of at least 25 feet.
- AAR: Charlotte, NC Sheehan Rally
“I was never so proud to be an Eagle as I was today, when we literally intimidated the moonbats to the extent that Cindy Sheehan drove by the demonstration site, saw what was happening, and DROVE AWAY!
It was awesome. George Samek, advance man extraordinaire, had Charlotte just waiting for us. We got several people just because they heard on the radio while driving home that Cindy was going to get a confrontation from a bunch of righteous Eagles! That happened because ol’ Rubber Ducky Samek had contacted all the media in Charlotte and told them we were coming to town.
I can’t praise George enough for what he did to make this a spectacular event. Whereas I expected to see maybe 40-50 Eagles at Bryant Park, we had probably 150-200. We were as many as the moonbats!
Any Eagles in the Lynchburg area of Virginia? Cindy will be coming into town soon!
Congratulations and thanks to all the hard-core Eagles who turned out today! Your country owes you!
Eagles up!”

- Sheehan Cowers to GOE!
Hello All:
The best news is that we in GOE countered a protest in Charlotte, NC where Cindy Sheehan was supposed to speak. She arrived to find us on the high ground, with numbers equal to the opposition. We had a sea of American flags, bull horns and twice the enthusiasm. Cindy drove up and did not get out of the car; she simply drove away. The press filmed us for a change. The Vets for Freedom got good press in DC today. They have endorsed our rally in DC on 15 September. So has Move America Forward and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. We are turning up the heat and will continue to do so. The war is not lost. You know it and I know it and soon we will make Congress know it. Keep checking the website www.gatheringofeagles.org for updates on the 15 September counter protest . This is our chance to BUY THE TROOPS SOME TIME TO WIN.
We needed support in March and we need it again in September. Let all our troops know we are silent no more and we will not allow our guys to be treated with disrespect by anybody. Wake the kids and phone the neighbors, patriotic Americans are coming to take back the streets.
HOO-AH! Manchu

Gathering of Eagles
- AAR: Iowa Eagles Mission Accomplished
On Saturday, June 30th, the Iowa Eagles gathered in Cedar Rapids to share a different message with the local populace versus what they normally see each weekend from a group of moonbats that have been demonstrating there for some time. We actually gathered on the very corner that they use so as to deny them the spot. We had twelve members show up for the day. Our oldest was 78 and the youngest was 7 months! We posted thirty American flags and a “Don’t tread on me” flag that was given to us by a local recruiter just for this occasion. We had some great patriotic signs to use courtesy of Jan Lucas and her family.
We manned the corner from about 9 AM until 12:30 PM. It was a great day! We received tons of thumbs up gestures, hand salutes, and car honks of approval from many, many people. Several motorists stopped to tell us how happy they were to see us there. We had three people stop to ask how they could join our organization and one of them even joined us on the flag line (thanks Jeff!). A couple of the local recruiters stopped by to say hello. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
The moonbats were besides themselves. Their first reaction was to call the police and complain about our posting of the American flags (go figure). Apparently, there is a city ordinance against posting anything on public property. We worked out a compromise with the police and the flags stayed. They finally showed up an hour later than usual and attempted to occupy the corner with us. Every time they tried to display one of their signs, one of our members stepped in front of them. In frustration, most of them moved to the next block except for a few belligerent ones that chose to march along the sidewalk behind us. They were totally convinced we were from some out of state organization. They clearly were upset by our presence. One of them even asked if we intended on returning next week - of course, I said “absolutely”. They will be looking over their shoulders for some time to come.
Mission accomplished!!
