Now is the time for your tears.
"[I]f a Muslim deliberately murders another Muslim he falls under the law of retaliation and must by law be put to death by the next of kin. But if a non-Muslim who dies at the hand of a Muslim has by lifelong habit been a non-Muslim, the penalty of death is not valid. Instead the Muslim murderer must pay a fine and be punished with the lash....Since Islam regards non-Muslims as on a lower level of belief and conviction, if a Muslim kills a non-Muslim…then his punishment must not be the retaliatory death, since the faith and conviction he possesses is loftier than that of the man slain...Islam and its peoples must be above the infidels, and never permit non-Muslims to acquire lordship over them." — Sultanhussein Tabandeh, A Muslim Commentary on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, F. J. Goulding, translator, London, 1970.
"Islamist jailed for boat murders," from PA News (thanks to Twostellas):
An Islamic militant was sentenced to 15 years in jail for killing two Christians during an attack on a passenger boat.Judges in Indonesia said Sulthon Qolbi was a member of Kompak, an Islamic militant group that took part in fighting between Christians and Muslims in the eastern Maluku island chain between 1999 and 2002.
The group kept up occasional attacks against Christian targets after the war ended.

I'm sure that he'll be released in a couple of years as a "Ramadan gift".

...yep, attacking only when they felt bored and insignificant....
Hey, at least the guy got some prison time. This is monumental progress for a member of the ummah.
Just trying to look on the bright side of an always dark topic.
Of course it's a totally different story as to how much of that sentence will actually be served.
Posted by: ISLAMSFORLOSERS at October 5, 2007 9:33 AM...gets 15 years in prisonIsn't that about the average a murderer spends in gaol in the UK? It may be less by now... Posted by: Jesus Worshipping Zionist at October 5, 2007 9:45 AM
My guess is that this jail will have an open-door policy.
Interesting that they would even go through the formality of seeking justice for a slain infidel. More Islamic PR.
He probably believes that 15 years in prison is a small price to pay for a ticket to Paradise.
Is allah playing favorites?
Posted by: champ at October 5, 2007 1:58 PMlook for that "sentence" to be commmuted next ramadan.
How about we finally STOP sending them foreign aid??!!
Can't we explain that we can't afford to pay all this foreign aid any longer due to the high oil prices?
A little turnabout taquiyya would make me feel mighty good!
Posted by: 2and2is5 at October 5, 2007 6:05 PMThe day will come when there will be an underground force which will mete out justice in cases such as this.
And the complicit judges may well be included in this.. to remind the others that the Law should be applied equally and impartially.
Mark my words..
And every year at Ramadan he'll get a couple years knocked off his sentence (due to Islamic mercy for Islamists), so we should expect to see him back on the streets killing Christians by 2011.
Posted by: A_Nonny_Mouse at October 5, 2007 7:17 PMPerhaps there will be another tsunami and we will forget to send in the US Navy, Bill Clinton and George I to save their 3rd world butts. As I recall, Islamic countries did not send in money or people to aide because they consider these events acts of God. Apparently with acts of their allah one doesn't help out any survivors. Well that's handy on the wallet.
I think 2and2is5 is correct. Human nature can only take so much abuse, and retribution will come.
Posted by: CLL1709 at October 5, 2007 8:38 PMLet me guess; if he was only able to kill one Christian he gets 30 years.
Posted by: Pelayo at October 5, 2007 11:20 PMPelayo, of course!! That makes perfect sense: he killed only 2 infidels, so he got 15 years, whereas had he killed ten or more he would be free to kill some more, and live to see another day, provided he exceeded his quota on that next kill. Friend, those people are geniuses when it comes to logic!
Posted by: hardball at October 6, 2007 11:30 AMYou might be an islamophobe if you don't believe in the right of the prophet's followers to punish non-believers.
