Kaiping Chen Doctoral Students»



Kaiping is interested in theories on deliberative democracy and social choice, as well as practices in DP and democratic governance. Her research explores how deliberation helps solve collective action problems, using experimental game theory. Furthermore, she compares the role of power and self interest in deliberation between democratic and authoritarian regime. Kaiping is also a practitioner, helping municipal governments in China launch democratic reforms.
