Since its release in 1987, Microsoft PowerPoint has become the industry standard for presenters world-wide to help them create slide show presentations. This interactive, hands-on workshop will teach you some of the more complex and time-saving techniques and uses of PowerPoint to help you build interesting, exciting, and engaging presentations. Throughout the day, we will cover the importance of storyboarding your presentation by creating an Outline, using Themes to enhance the style (color, font, and background) of your presentation, adding graphics (like pictures, graphs, and SmartArt) to spruce up your presentation, judiciously adding animations to help engage your audience, presenting your presentation using Slide Show view, and understanding and implementing keyboard shortcuts to increase your productivity in creating PowerPoint presentations. By the end of the workshop, you will have learned many tips, tricks, and techniques for developing and presenting presentations that will help wow your audience.

Note to Mac users: Although we will focus our attention primarily on the Windows platform, the tips, tricks, and techniques presented will be applicable to your platform as well.

Students must be familiar with computer basics and are required to bring a laptop computer to class. Due to its short format, this workshop may not be taken for Credit or a Letter Grade.
