John Cassidy co-founded the children’s book publishing company Klutz Press in 1978 and served as its creative head until 2000 when he and his partners sold it to Scholastic Inc. He has been an automobile mechanic in Bangladesh, a river guide in Idaho, a juggling instructor in California, and one time wrote a song that Bruce Springsteen recorded. He received degrees in English and Education from Stanford in 1972 and 1978. He has been at the d-school since 2011.
