Energy Entrepreneurship Resources
Our goal at the SEC is to connect students, faculty, and staff interested in energy to the wide-array of Stanford resources they need. Below is a list of Entrepreneurship resources available to the Stanford community. In addition to connecting you with entrepreneurship resources, we are encouraging entrepreneurship groups to include energy in their discussions, events, and assistance. We feel that connecting the energy community with the entrepreneurial resources at Stanford will spark growth in the Stanford energy start-up space, foster valuable relationships, and advance our goal of promoting a smarter, cleaner energy future.

Stanford Entrepreneurship Resources
BASES
The Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES) is at the heart of student entrepreneurship at Stanford, as one of the most established and well-known student-run entrepreneurship organizations in the world. Their mission is to promote entrepreneurship education at Stanford University and to empower the next generation of brilliant entrepreneurs. They work with budding entrepreneurs, exceptional students, and prominent professors and investors in order to unite the worlds of entrepreneurship, academia, and industry. BASES programs include the 150K Challenge, the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders’ Seminar, the SVI Hackspace, E-Bootcamp, and the Freshman Battalion. Find out more here.
StartX
StartX is a non-profit focused on accelerating the development of Stanford’s top entrepreneurs through experiential education. Start-ups in any field can apply, with previous start-ups ranging from cleantech to consumer enterprise and founders ranging from undergrads all the way up to alumni and professors. StartX success is well established, having companies that have received VC funding, become profitable, covered in the press, and even been acquired by larger companies. Stanford Entrepreneurship Network
As a single point of contact for entrepreneurship at Stanford, the Stanford Entrepreneurship Network (SEN) is a federation of two dozen entrepreneurship-related campus organizations that conduct research, teach courses and/or provide outreach services. SEN is a great place to connect with the appropriate groups around campus, in addition to hosting Stanford’s Entrepreneurship Week and “Coaches-on-Call” where industry professionals hold office-hours for students can get advice and mentorship. Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Seminar
Stanford University’s Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders Seminar is a weekly speaker series that brings innovation leaders from business, finance, technology, education, and philanthropy, to share their insights with aspiring entrepreneurs from all over the world. Stanford Technology Ventures Program
As the entrepreneurship center for the School of Engineering, the STVP is dedicated to accelerating high-technology entrepreneurship education. STVP provides undergraduate and graduate students from all majors with the entrepreneurial skills needed to use innovations to solve major world problems, with an emphasis on the environment, human health, information technology, and other global issues. STVP is primarily focused on training students and educators in the field of entrepreneurship, but has vast resources that are useful for 1st time entrepreneurs as well as seasoned, successful entrepreneurs.
