Description
"Recruiting and Retaining Women Faculty in Academic Medicine"
Professor Linda Boxer will present data on the number of women faculty enrolled at the Stanford School of Medicine over the past 10 years, breaking it down by basic science and clinical departments and faculty lines. This will cover recruitment and faculty losses. She will compare the percentages of women on the faculty to the numbers in the pipeline (graduate and medical students). She will also focus on the need to prevent the leaking of the pipeline and on program development to support women faculty members to retain them in academic medicine.
Linda Boxer is Vice Dean and Professor in the Stanford School of Medicine.
Clayman Faculty Affiliates are welcome to attend the lunch seminars. All Stanford academics are eligible to become Clayman Institute Faculty Affiliates. Please RSVP to Wendy Skidmore (wskid@stanford.edu) if you wish to attend.
