Archives Acquires Ira Nowinski Photos of the Stanford Powwow
The Archives is pleased to announce the acquisition of 312 digital images and 36 prints of the 2006 Stanford Powwow taken by noted photographer Ira Nowinski. The entire set of images is currently available for viewing via the iStanford app. A small exhibition of the prints will be on display in the Bender Room of Green Library in conjunction with the 2012 Powwow, held over Mother's Day Weekend.

STOP AIDS Project Reaches Halfway Point
The year-long NHPRC grant funded project to process the STOP AIDS Project records has reached its halfway point! The processing of over 340 linear feet of records is on target to meet the deadline of September 30, 2012, and the posters and audiovisual media have all been listed to the item-level. In addition, Rebecca McNulty has imaged the bulk of the computer media in the collection, totaling over 700 gigabytes.

Allison Tracy Signs on as Oral Historian, Stanford Historical Society
The Stanford University Archives is pleased to announce that Allison Tracy has accepted the position of Oral Historian, Stanford Historical Society, effective April 16th. Allison comes to us from the University of Nevada Oral History Program (UNOHP), where she was the Coordinator from 2009-2012.

Finding Aid to the Robert Hofstadter Papers Now Available
The Stanford University Archives is pleased to announce the publication of a finding aid to the Robert Hofstadter papers via the Online Archive of California. Robert Hofstadter was a longtime member of the Stanford University Department of Physics and the recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics (1961) for his work on electron scattering.

Stanford Student Demonstration Audio Collection Online
The University Archives is pleased to announce the online availability of 18 audio recordings documenting Stanford student demonstrations from 1965-1971. Included are are recordings of April 3rd Movement discussions (1969), the sit-in at the Old Union (1970), anti-ROTC meetings (1970), and Academic Senate and Council meetings (1966, 1970).
