I'm very pleased to announce that Casey Mullin will be assuming Margaret Lu's position as Head of Data Control on August 1st, 2012.

Casey brings a wealth of metadata experience that he has gained during his tenure in the Metadata Development Unit as our humanities cataloger and a strong, forward sense of direction as the Department quickly evolves to keep pace with the world around us. His contributions toward SearchWorks development, including Google analytics, give him a unique appreciation for data and its flow from creation through discovery.

Margaret will be retaining her position through August 31st to help us with this transition. And in addition, she will be staying beyond that point in a reduced capacity to share her wealth of experience with our many data related projects, especially in regards to the major shifts of material between Green, SAL 1-2, and SAL 3. Please welcome Casey to his new position; we are fortunate to have him.
