BrowZine New Journal Issues - Trial Access

BrowZine.jpg

BrowZine delivers thousands of academic journals to your iPad, with Android support coming soon.

BrowZine works by organizing the articles found in Open Access and journal subscription databases, uniting them into complete journals, then arranging these journals on a common newsstand. The result is an easy and familiar way to browse, read and monitor scholarly journals across the disciplines. Selected journals we have on campus are part of BrowZine's collection. Publishers who have content in BrowZine include ACS, ACM, Elsevier, IEEE, Nature Publishing, Springer, SAGE, and Wiley.

Getting Started:

1. *FIRST* make sure your iPad is set up with the proxy system: Connect from Off-Campus With Your iPad or iPhone (Tip: Do not run the BrowZine app while you do this set up.) You must add the proxy URL to your iPad before being able to use BrowZine from on-campus or off-campus.

2. Download BrowZine app from iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/browzine/id463787411?mt=8

3. Launch app and select Stanford University from menu in upper left corner. Enter SUNet ID when prompted and then begin browsing new journal issues. BrowZine can be used on or off-campus but does require an internet connection.

There is a nice Introductory Video you can watch too.

The Stanford University Libraries have trial access that will run until May 27. Please see feedback to graceb@stanford.edu if BrowZine is useful to you.
