The Kamil Duszenko Prize was established in 2015 by Kamil’s mother, Izabela Mironowicz.
The aim of the Prize is to honor a young scientist whose mathematical research has brought outstanding results, deepening the actual state of knowledge and broadening its future perspectives. The Prize is granted by the Foundation of the Mathematicians of Wrocław and is awarded at least once in two years, the first time in 2015.

April 8, 2015The Clay Mathematics Institute has awarded John Pardon a 5-year Clay Research Fellowship, one of the most prestigious fellowships in mathematics.
December 1, 2014Emmanuel Candès will be awarded the 2015 AMS-SIAM George David Birkhoff Prize in Applied
Mathematics. Candès holds the Barnum-Simons Chair in Mathematics and Statistics and is a professor of electrical engineering (by courtesy) and a member of the Institute of Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University. The Birkhoff Prize, jointly sponsored by the American Mathematical Society and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, will be awarded at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in January in San Antonio, Texas.
