Dragan Boscovic is a seasoned ICT technology executive with 25 years of high tech experience acquired in an international set up (i.e. UK, France, China, USA) and is uniquely positioned to extract value within today’s global technology arena. He has a proven track record in conceiving strategies and managing development, investment and innovation efforts as related to advanced mobile technologies, predictive data analysis services and web centric user experience. A lateral thinker with broad exposure to a wide range of scientific methods and business practices. Currently leading a consortium of four private companies that bring together Security, wireless SDN, Data Analytics and Interactive Video Solutions competencies and technology enablers to jointly address new business opportunities as related to Smart Cities, Smart Energy/Grid and Smart Health applications and services.
Prior to having accepted the present challenge, Dr. Boscovic headed the Core Research activities for MMI Google where he pioneered development of a media analysis platform to extract silent video, audio and text features in order to create advanced services and a superior user experience as related to internet driven media consumption. He has a proven ability to enable rapid innovation through a combination of experimentation and scientific rigor in order to both acquire in-depth knowledge and create lateral innovation. A high entrepreneurial IQ helped him with the early stage incubation of WiMAX, Mesh networks and Mobile TV efforts in terms of business, technology and strategic partnership developments and to successfully transition them into standalone Motorola P&L operations.
Boscovic has amassed 22 patents, and has published numerous papers on diverse topics including Data Analytics for mobile services, consumer centric mHealth and eHealth solutions, autonomic ICT networks, green ICT and Smart Grid, etc. He is often called upon to share insights on wireless trends and solutions at industry events such as the International Consumer Electronic Show, Global Semiconductor Forum, AlwaysOn and others.
